This place sounded really good and was very convenient, but I didn't have a good experience at all. The live music was good, but... incredibly way too loud. I ordered the salmon and had to send it back the first time because the skin was completely black andburnt. I could barely even get the attention of the server to let them know about this. When I got a new salmon, the skin wasn'tburnt (so it was better), but the skin was mushy, and I could barely cut through it. The salmon itself was just mediocre... I'mrealizing now that the salmon I received wasn't even what's described on the menu. The salmon I received wasn't za'atar crusted,I didn't get any beets or kale, and there was no mustard sauce. I was just given a pan-seared salmon on top of some vegetables.To top it all off, I had difficulty again getting the attention of the server for my check. When I finally got my check, I stillhad to pay full price for the salmon. I wasn't offered any discount or other compensation for the first burnt salmon I received.Again, I'm very disappointed because this place sounded good and that it's convenient. Read more
great environment. all of the staff are very nice, but the service overall is rather unsatisfying: plastic plates, cheap... silverware, etc. the food is good, though not great. the traditional israeli dishes are delicious, but the more creative onesleave much to be desired. Read more
I was pretty impressed by my brunch experience here! The dishes are affordable and really tasty. The shakshuka is exactly what... someone needs on a cold winter weekend morning. The avocado toast also was delicious, with an amazing creamy cheese on top andspectacular latkes. Read more
Great atmosphere and exceptional waitstaff. The hummus was pretty good although a bit heavy on the olive oil. The cauliflower... crown was really delicious. The tahini aioli was kind of like a sour cream taste… not sure why but the lemon aioli was spoton. Read more
Great Israeli restaurant! As an Israeli, I'm hard to impress with mediterranean food in nyc, but there are a few good Israeli... restaurants here. I just happen to hear about this one and it became an instant favorite of mine. The shakshuka was deliciousand if you choose to add feta or eggplant it gets even better. Great Middle Eastern restaurant! All food that we ordered was delicious and tasty! From the outside it was okay but when you... taste their food then you will change your mind! Location: It is located on second avenue, the interior is nice with a nice barin the side. The outdoor seating is better, cause it is spacious and more safer and comfortable. Service: The servers are nice,they gave you good recommendations. A little bit busy as usual, but they try their best to accommodate! Also, they gave us freeshots because we get along with the servers. Food: All that we ordered was delicious, small servings tho but the taste of thefood was good! FALAFEL PLATTER: omg the hummus that comes with it are so good! Silky and perfect with the falafel and pita thatcomes with it. It is good for sharing or even by yourself! BURATTA: the cheese is soft and delicious. It comes with bacon orham? I'm not sure but it tastes good with the burrata. CALAMARI: we were sad when it came cause we thought it was fried but manit was so good, it was grilled and it taste like a ceviche. EGGPLANT SCHNITZEL: the fried eggplant is so good and not over friedso the softness of the eggplant was retained. FROZEN PASSION FRUIT DAQUIRI: omg it was so good and refreshing, but hits you atthe end! LOL Price rating: 8/10, it was not that bad for the price. The food was great.
