It's just a hype about this place There are more places far better than this bakery. Its base was good The cream was just like... sugar. I think one of the most recommended places people told me about before making my trip to New York was Magnolia Bakery. At first... I thought, there?s no way a banana pudding could be that good. But oh my gosh I was so wrong. The first time I had MagnoliaBakery, I had it delivered to our hotel on a rainy night. We ordered the banana pudding and a slice of cake. The pudding was sofluffy and delicious!! The cake wasn?t anything that stood out to me too much, but still good. I enjoyed the banana pudding somuch that I told my husband we had to stop and get some before we left back home. So the next day we went for a walk in CentralPark and stopped at their conveniently located store for yet another banana pudding and also their apple crisp pudding. Theapple crisp pudding is so unique! I think if I had to pick between the two, I would stick with the OG banana pudding but myhusband would definitely go with the apple crisp. This definitely is a place that I will recommend to anyone in New York. Wecan?t wait to visit again soon. I do know that they now ship orders of pudding and cakes, Maybe I?ll have to give that a try! First time visiting this bakery (location) and it won't be the last. The smells from the moment you walk in are enticing,... service is good, they offer treats by the slice, cup cakes and even minis. Delicious! My favorite choices are the carrot cake and hummingbird cake. They are similar and both delicious! As for... cupcakes...my daughter loves the vanilla! The banana pudding is unbeatable! Its BEST to go with friends or family and SHARE!!Its all so darn good! Read more
We went at 7 pm on a midweek and their displays were full despite the longish and steady line of patrons. You can see them... baking in the back. Great packaging for the various delicate goodies. I like banana pudding, but it?s not my favorite dessert.Theirs is amazing. If you get other items in addition to the banana pudding? eat the other things first because while they willbe good? they won?t be as heavenly as the pudding. Read more

I don?t like overly sweet or unbalanced sweet pastries, but i decided to buy this rice pudding from magnolia, looking at the... long line waiting for it every night I can say it didn?t impress me, it?s extremely sweet, you can barely have two spoons , tastes fresh though but I can?t eat it !!
