My go-to place in Washington Heights for Dominican fare. Malecon is delicious, easy on my wallet, and yummy. This is my... favorite neighborhood restaurant. I like the pollo al horno (actually, I wouldn?t roasted chicken any place but here) Moro,tostones, and cafe con leche with toast. The staff is also very nice. Malecon is probably one of the best Hispanic restaurants in New York City. Authentic Dominican-style food is delicious, portions... are big and there are great lunch specials the whole week that include salkocho, roasted pork, beef ribs, baked fish fillets,etc. Staff members are very kind and and they make you feel like at home ????. I used to go there often a few years ago and I remember the food being one of the greatest that I would drive all the way from... Brooklyn to go uptown just to eat their food. Now the restaurant is already known so the food is ok but not the way it was a fewyears ago. You can find better spots around the area. The place is nice and clean and the workers are great but other than thatthe food was ok. The food looks great but the taste is ok. For me, nothing special anymore. Read more
