?????? Went to this place for a quick coffee and a chocolate chip cookie. My latte was fine, nothing special, but the cookie was... delicious. My partner ordered a mocha and a pistachio loaf cake which were very good. Size portions are big! ???????????? Theyalso have pastries and lunch options. ???????? The place is small but cozy. I fell in love with another Maman shop in the summer so I was excited to see one near my hotel. Upon entry, the employee was so... nice. She talked to me and all the other staff members were just super nice. However, I was quickly let down by the coffee. Atthe other location they made my Iced Latte with honey and oat milk, perfectly. That's what made me fall in love with Maman. Thislocation initially told me they can't do it but then decided to make it and it was awful. Then they told me they discontinuedtheir macadamia lemon cookies, something else I fell in love with. I ordered some other pastries and a salmon dish. I didn'tlike anything I ordered. I was just so sadly let down. On my next visit to NYC I will have to go back to the one by the FlatIron and see if things have just changed for this all of their restaurant or just that one. I think they have some of the best cookies around. Not to sweet, not to big and has the right amount of chewiness to it. The... nutty chocolate and the oatmeal were our favorite. The second time we went, we tried out their drinks and food items. The hotchocolate was delicious but finished a little sweet. The croque madam was delicious and the smashed potatoes was a gooddish. The place is small and has very limited seating. It?s not a cafe where you can sit with a laptop and sip on your coffeefor hours. Overall it?s a great addition to the Rockefeller center area. Atmosphere 5/5 Drinks 4/5 Food 4/5 Location 5/5 Staff 5/5 The smell of freshly baked treats will be the first thing that greats... you followed shortly by the great staff. The vines that cover the walls and ceiling are a great touch that really adds to theatmosphere (though they are fake which is always a disappointment). The coffee was pretty spot on with a rich nutty taste thatseemed light even though it ended up being pretty strong. I also got a s?mores hot chocolate which was very rich and had ablowtorch melted marshmallow on top. While good, it was a bit too sweet for me. Overall a great place to grab a coffee orbite. With multiple outlets in the neighborhood, this one came highly recommended by the folks at the hotel that we stayed in.... However, the patisserie is what reminded me of my trip to Pondicherry! The cutlery is supposedly Portuguese-styled. We finallyended up ordering a pistachio croissant and for breakfast, I ordered a bacon and egg sandwich, with a golden mocha latte(something that I'd like to label as experimental coffee!) It's self-service and may sometimes be hard to find a table, but thediners are courteous enough to finish their meals quickly and make space for you. Read more
