I know this is a well known place with multiple locations but I had the worst halal food of my life here a few days ago. Rice... was dry and brittle, felt like I was eating bits of sand, legitimately inedible, can't believe they would serve rice so poorlycooked. Lamb was dry and tasteless. All the while charging almost $15 for a lamb and rice platter. Ended up tossing my portionafter a few bites because the rice was so bad. Will stick to halal carts. Read more

Food is tasty but for some reason i have issues every time i order delivery from this location. I just recently heard great... things about mamouns and decided to give it a try. So far i have ordered falafel sides for the very first time at least 3 timesfrom this location, and every time i ordered for delivery i never receive the side of TAHINEH sauce. (Luckily I would order aside of hummus and so that is what i would be able to dip them in). But, I even took it upon myself to call ahead and afterordering to remind them of the sauce, and STILL wouldn?t receive it. It?s so weird to say that i finally was able to try thefamous falafels but have yet been able to try the TAHINEH sauce (which is suppose to come with the falafels) Reallydisappointing :( .. In the future i will probably be better off ordering in person when near or just trying a differentlocation, which is truly inconvenient. Sigh. Read more

The Upper West Side location is filthy, especially the outdoor seating. The construction of the outdoor structure provides for... food to drop under the floor and there are always flies, bugs, pideons, etc. adding to the filth. I am a fan of the food but thethe filth is making it hard to be a customer. Inside the store also has flies and bugs. Please correct the environment of therestaurant inside and out. Thank you. Not recommended! I ordered lamb gyro platter with rice and ordered side salad. No issues with salad. However, I got the dried... up dregs of the lamb. It was dried up, in pieces ( not the slices that come off the rotating spit) I called the restaurant-They told me I had to ORDER AGAIN from Uber Eats and then he would leave a message for owner to call me back to give me acredit. I asked how come, he couldn?t just send a new fresh plate of lamb- he said he could not do it and to ORDER AGAIN andwait for his manager to call me back the following day. So far, no call?.. Famous middle eastern fast food place. They serve shawarma platters, falafel , salads and pastries. I ordered lamb platter and... mabrumeh. Side salad was fresh. The lamb didn't taste that good though. Will probably try their falafel next time for which theyare famous. Read more

Familiar with Mamouns Falalafel and it's first NYC location in the McDougal St West Village location. We go there when we are in... the area though since it's a bit of a commute, it's not that often. So it was good to hear that they now had an Upper West Sidelocation (though opened in April, seems the local press just mentioned it recently). Got to the restaurant just after it openedso finally got to see what it's like when it's not crowded. It's got a nicely situated location on Columbus where there are alot of places to eat and stuff to do. It's also good to know that restaurants are expanding their presence in the UWS as thepandemic has affected the area(as seen with many retail vacancies) For our take out order, I got the sandwiches of shawarma andchicken kebob, the signature sandwiches of macdougal, bleeker, west 4th and sullivan. The choices reflect either chicken orshawarma or a combination. Also got baklava for dessert. They added hot sauces (described as spicy sauce made from imported hotpepper spices) While I was waiting for the order to be prepared, they were nice to let me try a cup of their mamouns iced tea, described as freshly brewed, unsweetened black tea infused with cardamom. has a unique though delicious taste as cardamom has acomplex aroma, fruity, possibly menthol flavor. So, how was the takeout? Pretty good actually, especially the Shawarma andChicken Kebob sandwiches. The Sullivan was just OK though probably was full already so could have enjoyed it more. West 4th wasamazing too. Can't wait to try the rest. My wife also liked the Chicken Kebob and baklava. It's definitely a place you shouldtry and they even set up outdoor seating if you would rather dine in. Read more

This restaurant is awesome!? Clean open layout, outdoor seating is available. Friendly manager and employees. Fresh and... delicious food. Tried the Falafel combo plate and was not disappointed. The hummus tastes great!!!! Pita bread was hot and soft????. Anthony a counter attendant offered me a sauce that complimented my order so well. His friendly interaction put thefinishing touch on my experience. Will be eating here again for sure ???? Also the cashier offered the loyalty card and clearlyexplained the benefits and how to activate it. Very good first impression ???? Read more
