I?ve been here numerous times over the years when visiting NYC. Always sat at the bar and always had a great meal. And so when... we moved to NYC recently I, of course, had to hit one of my fave spots to get seafood. Unfortunately, this experience was solacking I doubt I?ll return. Let me get the most important part out of the way - the food was as good as it always is. Fresh, well prepared, and with lovely seasonal options. It?s the end of the summer so we had corn fritters (a special), the grilledsquid with a mango/papaya salad, and the lobster roll. All were really good and just a lovely summer meal. No complaints on thefood. The service, however, was horrendous. We typically always sit at the bar, but they weren?t allowing bar seating at lunchon this day (I haven?t been here in quite a while so maybe that?s the norm now). The restaurant was busy - but not insanely so. Probably the regular amount of busy you?d expect on a beautiful Friday afternoon. I think they may have only had 2 serversthough which, admittedly, is probably not enough, but you can get by because the restaurant is small enough. We ordered rightaway and got a bottle of wine - thankfully - because once we got our food, we never had anyone come to see us again for over atleast an hour. We ate our delicious meal and then literally sat there for about 45 minutes without any service. Someone gotseated at the table next to us right before we left and she got up and left (it was pretty obvious people weren?t having a greatexperience). Could I have done more if I wanted more water, to order something else, or my check sooner? Sure, I could havetackled our server to get her attention I suppose but she literally was hardly around and the couple of times she did run by itwas impossible to get her attention. I did finally make my husband go inside the restaurant to ask for our tab. It was prettyobvious she had forgotten we existed. I know serving is hard and I know Covid made a mess out of the s Read more

Food was pretty good but the price was outrageous. The fries that come with the uber-expensive lobster roll are great. The... house red wine is so bad it is hard to describe. Service was good but all in all overpriced. Okish at half the price. Read more

Make sure to ask the price of the specials before ordering?. $48 Lobster Roll, $10 side coleslaw and a $16 Sundae to name a few.... The food was lovely but not memorable enough for $308. We could?ve literally gone around the corner to Via Carota for howridiculously expensive this meal was. Read more

Love MFC! Just excellent seafood dishes, creative, but casual. They play great tunes, too!

Passed this place hundreds of times without ever trying it, as I'm not a seafood guy. Got the fish and chips. Added tomatillo... sauce for kick. Incredible taste. Fries were amazing. Love the sidewalk vibes too. Read more

$$$$ Not amazing but very good cod sandwich and lobster roll. Slow delivery of food, but prompt service. Quiet, beautiful corner... location. Reduce the prices by 20% and it could be 5 star. Enjoy! Read more
