Reviews for Metrograph in New York, NY
Before buying tickets, call and ask if there?s a private event scheduled in the restaurant during the screening. Or better yet... just pick a different theater with thicker walls and no risk of someone?s birthday rager ruining your movie. The walls seem sothin that honestly I feel like just regular restaurant noise would be disruptive. This is a bad theater, do not go. Read more
I had a fantastic time at the restaurant with my buddy while he was in town visiting. The staff was remarkable, the chef was... nothing shy of amazing, and the manager Angela was incredibly knowledgeable about both food and wine. This is my go-to when I'mon the lower east side. Read more
Great indy movie theater, prices are decent for the city especially if you have a membership. The dining and drinking options... are fantastic, with great desserts as well. Has a great vibe that will instantly appeal to any movie lover. Read more
I've seen a number of great, classic films at the Metrograph, including "Casablanca" on Valentine's Day with my wife. The... theater is cozy, and the staff is all helpful and friendly there. It's a great option in NYC to see some of your favorite filmson the big screen in a really nice environment. Read more
You know it?s a good restaurant when everything on the menu tastes amazing, even those ingredients you were never fond of before... you will fall in love with when prepared by the chef at Metrograph. This place is meant to impress! My friend had an excellentbirthday dinner. Angela keeps the front of house SUPERB right down to the paper towels in the bathroom. She is as kind as she isproficient. Our waiter, Mathew, was ever attentive and catered to our every need with sincerity. The ambiance, the location, ifI could give 10 stars I would! Read more
Definitely my favourite movie theatre experience so far!!! Ambience in the theatre is amazing (details include candles burning... in the lobby, the antique velvet seat in the lobby, plants). Bathrooms are really clean and I loved the bookstore on the secondfloor. Only problem is that the food is pretty pricy!! Read more
The place is super cute and the movie was super nice, but - this place is WAY too pricey and the food portions are WAY too... small. Even the concessions - why are the popcorn bags so tiny? ???? I?m going out to a movie I wanna indulge and have fun notsnack on a 5 popped corns and call it a day ???? also miniature coke bottles. I?m a full grown human let me eat ???? also - 27$duck.. is so tiny. Anyways? you get the point.. nice movies, nice place - but I?m hungry!!! Read more
Went to a screening of Andrei Rublev here and there was some private party upstairs with very audible music playing the entire... time. Totally messed up the movie and in the future I?d legitimately call ahead to check if there will be an event, or just notbother going cause 17$ is too expensive to not have such a bare minimum.
