Great meal - ordered the sushi/sashimi combo. The fish was well prepared and very tasty. I was disappointed my waiter didn’t... recommend me a pairing with sake as a drink with such delicious fish. Sake would have been so amazing - but I tried hissuggestion - Sauvignon Blanc and nah - killed the vibe. I would definitely speak up next time and question the pairing. Makes mewonder 1) the waiter doesn’t like sake 2) not properly trained 3) the restaurant doesn’t have sake pairings for it?! Ibelieve the waiter needs better training. Other than that, the desert, matcha crepe, (is not very sweet - I dont like very sweetdeserts) went amazing with green tea. It was interesting because it had red bean paste on top and blueberry/strawberry on thesides. This desert comes from chicalicious in st mark (Japanese pastry chef) and its great to have some of her uptown as well!!It was great! Great atmosphere! Will definitely come again. Read more

It was our first time at Momoya Upper West (we’ve been to the Chelsea one). To start we had a tuna tortilla, edamames and... crispy rice. The tuna tortilla was amazing, it was line a tuna pizza with truffle oil. The crispy rice were average, could havemore tuna or more flavor. Then we had a chirashi and some rolls. Chirashi was amazing, it was super big (to share) and with lotsof fresh fish. The rolls were ok, I remembered that in Chelsea they were better. We also had a sake and the waiter was superfriendly, he brought us some sake to taste. Only downside is that before 10pm they were rushing us out. Read more

First time at the original site at Amsterdam. Friendly welcome, warm and attentive waiters, excellent ventilation and visible... safety procedures in place. The food served was excellent and especially the chirashi. I dined at the lower west side restaurantmany, many times and found this location to be equally good in food and service quality, but slightly better in decor. A goodplace to stop for a good Japanese meal. Read more

Food was okay, better than most restaurants. The selection for the sushi set was surprisingly varied, with different fish... options and eel. Overall taste was okay, the miso was very watered down though. And the eel was unfortunately not that fresh. The maguro (tuna) tasted like blood and was so rich I couldn't eat it (might be some people's preference). I like mild tastingmaguro though. Overall okay but could be better. Read more

Clean and comfortable space with a striking wooden design on the walls and a modern fusion style Japanese menu. Decently priced... compared to other typical NYC sushi places. Glad to have visited, thank you for the lovely time and friendly service! Read more

Food were nice but a bit expensive compared to midtown Japanese food places. Size of one dish is big enough for one person. I... like the chicken over rice so much and would highly recommend. Good services. Reservation would be necessary before headingthere. Read more

Sushi ???? was super fresh and prices were reasonable. We had a Rainbow roll, BBQ Eel roll, Spicy Salmon and mAngo and avocado... roll, Spicy Tuna roll and a Boston roll which is crab, shrimp, greens and avocado. Our waitress also provided excellent serviceand provided great suggestions. We had the warm chocolate cake for dessert which was delicious. We sat in their outdoor area andthey were accommodating for a wheelchair. I will definitely be back. Read more
