The service was decent, we were able to be accommodated despite the lack of a reservation. The drinks were tasty, the speck... wrapped shrimp appetizer was to die for. Walked in off the street around 6pm and only had to wait 1 hour for a table. The server was excellent, very attentive and... polite. We ordered some sliders, calamari and salmon to start. The sliders were excellent, and I was told the fish was good too!We got steaks and a chicken BLT sandwich. The parmesan and truffle oil fries where excellent!!! The place was very busy with alively atmosphere, I would book in advance to avoid disappointment! A small restaurant near Bryant Park. Food: Get their Mac & Cheese. It's nothing out of the ordinary but nevertheless good. I... regretted ordering the small size. The breadcrumbs sprinkled on top gives it a nice, crunchy texture. The Grilled Chicken andthe Quinoa Bowl w/ Hanger Steak were just okay. Both meat weren't as tender as I would've liked, but they weren'tterrible. Service: The waitress who served us was super sweet. She constantly checked up on how we're doing and was friendlyuntil the very end. Vibe: Weird sitting arrangements. Bad lighting to take the best photos. Loud. This restaurant was a really pleasant surprise. It wasn't on the planned hit list of restaurants for my trip but the stars kind... of aligned. This meal wasn't about finding something adventurous as much as it was about finding something simple and tasty.However, their "simple and tasty" ended up being excellent and has made me curious to explore more of the menu. My wife ordereda burger and was particularly pleased with the quality of the meat. Their fries are also exactly how we (my wife and I) prefer;slightly thicker cut and well seasoned. I ordered the half roasted chicken and it was fantastic. The roasted potatoes, thecarrots and even the cipollini onion (I believe that's the type) were delicious. The sauce and seasoning used on the roastedchicken are savory and smooth. Just a great dish that hit the spot. The ambiance is comfortable and the staff is reallyfriendly and accommodating.
