The service was decent, we were able to be accommodated despite the lack of a reservation. The drinks were tasty, the speck... wrapped shrimp appetizer was to die for. Walked in off the street around 6pm and only had to wait 1 hour for a table. The server was excellent, very attentive and... polite. We ordered some sliders, calamari and salmon to start. The sliders were excellent, and I was told the fish was good too!We got steaks and a chicken BLT sandwich. The parmesan and truffle oil fries where excellent!!! The place was very busy with alively atmosphere, I would book in advance to avoid disappointment! A small restaurant near Bryant Park. Food: Get their Mac & Cheese. It's nothing out of the ordinary but nevertheless good. I... regretted ordering the small size. The breadcrumbs sprinkled on top gives it a nice, crunchy texture. The Grilled Chicken andthe Quinoa Bowl w/ Hanger Steak were just okay. Both meat weren't as tender as I would've liked, but they weren'tterrible. Service: The waitress who served us was super sweet. She constantly checked up on how we're doing and was friendlyuntil the very end. Vibe: Weird sitting arrangements. Bad lighting to take the best photos. Loud. I came here for brunch with friends on a business trip to NYC. Midtown doesn’t have a ton of weekend brunch options but this... works. It had kind of a noisy pub atmosphere with a black and white color scheme. The restaurant is oblong off the streetwithout much natural light. All of the food was good, nothing was remarkable. The chia bowl was kind of a tropical smoothie bowlwith fruit and granola, not a chia pudding texture. The smashed potatoes were salty and tasty and the coffee was decent.Presentation was nice. Service was friendly though they were busy so not the most attentive. All in all, nothing objectionable,nothing to rave about. Read more
Came here for a girls night out and it was remarkable! Walking in you could tell from the ambience that this was the place to be... at on a Wednesday night. We walked up to the hostess and were told there would be a 20 min wait, which for the city isn't badbut she said if we found a seat at the bar we could just seat ourselves. So, we did just that! Once we sat down the bartendercame right over with menus and took our drink order. The food came out extremely fast and was very good. I loved the wholeexperience. I'll definitely be returning. It was a first date and we had so much fun getting to know each other, our waiter, Daniel must have asked us three times for our... order. He was very courteous and insisted we take our time. Eventually we ordered.and had a delicious Brunch. The service wasexcellent as was the manager who resolved a minor issue without comment or objection. This restaurant was a really pleasant surprise. It wasn't on the planned hit list of restaurants for my trip but the stars kind... of aligned. This meal wasn't about finding something adventurous as much as it was about finding something simple and tasty.However, their "simple and tasty" ended up being excellent and has made me curious to explore more of the menu. My wife ordereda burger and was particularly pleased with the quality of the meat. Their fries are also exactly how we (my wife and I) prefer;slightly thicker cut and well seasoned. I ordered the half roasted chicken and it was fantastic. The roasted potatoes, thecarrots and even the cipollini onion (I believe that's the type) were delicious. The sauce and seasoning used on the roastedchicken are savory and smooth. Just a great dish that hit the spot. The ambiance is comfortable and the staff is reallyfriendly and accommodating.
