You can go in the gym at Mercedes House and get food from this little health food spot. There's lots of seating and work space... and it's a really good space to work or relax with some yummy acai bowls or smoothies. You can stop here for a quick bite orstay to work and relax. Even if you're not a member here it's a nice place to stop by when you need to grab a bite and get offthe street. Read more

Honestly, the place itself was cute but the Açaí bowl was nasty! my nutella Açaí tasted like medicina! 10 minutes later I... had the worse stomach ache ever. Employees gave horrible costumer service, definitely don?t recommend this place!! Read more
We LOVE Playa Bowl. I think.. we?ve probably gotten Playa Bowl at least 100x, and every time it?s been the best of the best. In... fact, we rank açaí bowls around the tri-state area from 1-10, and Playa Bowl is considered our ?10?. So far, no where else(out of like 10 different places) has yet to match or top this heavenly goodness. The way they put granola at the bottom AND thetop gives you plenty of granola to look forward to. The base is always thick and creamy and the fruit is always fresh. I lovegetting the açaí and my boyfriend loves getting the Pitaya. We are HUGE fans. This will always be one of our favorite mealmemories of living in NYC!! This is by far the worst Playa bowl location. My 3rd and last bad experience here. A while ago, I did not receive the best... customer service but ignored it because of the convenient location. Second visit issue, I ordered add-on's in two of my bowlsbut no one ever added on. I honestly didn't feel like fighting for the additional dollar plus add-ons, so I let it slide. Thirdmessed up visit was last week. As you see in the picture, this is not the standard presentation for a Playa Bowl and no, I didnot stir this. There were literally about 4-5 diced pieces of pineapple, barely any granola, and it was watery. I am levit.After spending nearly $14 on a bowl, I at least expect the standard amount of ingredients and would like it to have the usualthickness to it. I wanted a fruit bowl but got a soup bowl. MOST DISGUSTING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. I get playa bowl delivery to my home all the time. Never had a problem. Guess NYC is just... trash. I ordered at 2:17pm, received a delivery at 2:45pm with the wrong food. Two bowls instead of mine, honest Abe here, Sentit back. Called the restaurant myself and the individual on the other line said, " I will make you a new bowl when he(deliveryguy) gets here ". I contacted grub hub to a new a ETA as I have a train to catch, and was told my driver was on the way at3:30pm. Driver calls me saying he is here, confirmed an incorrect address. LOVELY. Waited another 10 minutes, received my order.LET ME TELL YOU. IF I could zero star this I would. When I got my food it was watered down, like a soup, the toppings were allshaken inside the cup and spilling out into the bag. I took pictures and videos, because I will be going to the location tocomplain in person. My whole order was $20 after tip, for food I can not even EAT, but I can drink it if I want warm acai withchunks. Complained to Grub Hub and they offered me a RE DELIVERY. another one. As if I had ANOTHER HOUR to wait for food. Thenproceeded to offer a refund of $7... jokes on me right? I refuse to order from GRUB HUB and eat at this PLAYA BOWL. The location is a bit awkward for those that are not members of the Mercedes Club. Enter at ground level and take stairs (quite... a few) or elevator. Check in with front desk and put your name on a list. They then point you to the location. Mercedes ClubEmployees actually more friendly and professional than the actual employees of Playa Bowls. Location is very small, tuckedbetween the lounge area for club members. Two girls working that were not particularly excited to take my order or shareinsights. One of them was about to leave, so maybe I caught them at a challenging moment. Very transactional interaction. Iordered a half/half bowl with coconut and açaí. Toppings were fairly generous, but I found the coconut base to be warm, chalky& chunky. It actually took away from the great taste of the açaí.
