i came here without knowing that they were famous for their meatballs. i ordered their spaghetti and meatballs by recommendation... of the waiter. the dish was extremely fulfilling and satisfied my pasta cravings. the meatballs have a strong beef flavor withnotes of a nutty, pistachio flavor. the pasta had a fantastic homemade, al dente texture, cooked to perfection. the sauce waspretty standard but coupled well with the meatballs. all in all i?d recommend giving them a try. I do not think there is a better Italian place in proximity of Lincoln center. This place is a romantic prelude before the... perfomance. Their backroom is a hidden gem. Try their meatballs and mushroom arancini appetizers. My wife took artic char. Weboth loved our choices. Read more

Very good Italian food. If you like tequila, I recommend their tequila cocktail with aperol. It was very tasty. The pasta sauce... with mushrooms was absolutely delicious. Even the chicken for salad was great! Read more
Christmas came early! I heard so many good things about Polpette 71 and Nicky Meatballs' famous Meatballs. Now I know why... they're award winning. I was tempted to order some to go. The ala vodka sauce was also so tasty. This is an awesome place fromthe food, atmosphere, staff and Nicky himself. Looks like plenty of return customers to me that says it all! Read more
Had dinner yesterday evening and can say it was wonderful . The service and cuisine were excellent. The restaurant itself is... very cozy and inviting. The staff at this restaurant really makes you feel like family when you walk through the doors. Lu-Anne stops by many of the... tables just to check in. And Nicky often greets everyone and wishes them well on their way out the door. The meatballs here aretruly some of the best we?ve had in NYC. You can understand why they get a lot of praise.
