The Rainbow room is a storied event venue on the 67th floor of the Rockefeller tower. Very elegant and nighttime views are... fabulous. As one would guess, the catering staff are pleasant and professional. The food is outstanding, including the best BeefWellington I've ever tasted. My wife and I were there for a birthday party and danced to the wee hours. If you get invited...go!If you can afford to put on an event there, you will be happy you selected the Rainbow Room. Loved this place because you can enter for free and have almost the same views you would have from the top of the rock... observatory. The drinks are kind of expensive but it is cheaper than to buy a ticket to enter the observatory. The only badthing is that there are no chairs so you have to stand all night. If you want to seat and eat you should reserve a table thatare around and close to the windows so you get a better view. Not sure if you have to pay for reservation though. Read more
Such a jewel in the city. The food I had here: Lobster Risotto - is the absolute best meal I've ever had in my life. So good,... truly. You must go there and try for yourself. Some really good drinks, that make sense to try, since it's a whole newexperience you are in. Read more

Again, it all comes down to atmosphere, service, food. Atmosphere was great, views were amazing. Service was fine, nothing... special. Food...we only ordered beverages, and a seafood tower ($90). The seafood tower was just ok. Order something else.Teetering between a 2 and a 3 star. Read more
