Soogil offers a prix fixe chef's tasting menu highlighting modern Korean cuisine with French influences. Great food and great... ambiance, worth a visit / good for date night! We came as two, so we were able to try all of their dishes! The highlights forme were the beef wellington (worth the supplement!) and the foie gras, which is their signature dish. The uni bowl wasunderwhelming; I would recommend skipping that supplement. Some of the dishes were also on the saltier side for my partner butwas OK for me. We sat down and I didn’t really realize that it was tasting menu only. That’s fine, I’m used to tasting menus. We started... w tuna tartare / caviar, followed by Arctic char, scallops, foie gras, uni supplement, beef Wellington / kalbi steak and dessert(mango sorbet and black sesame ice cream). I think the only dishes I enjoyed were scallops and steak kalbi but everything elsewas missing something in terms of flavor. The mango sorbet was good. I came expecting some sort of Korean fusion but didn’treally get any. I left pretty hungry for a tasting menu as well. This wasn’t cheap and I think they could’ve given us morein terms of the mains. I would say the best modern Korean restaurants in NYC. Chef’s tasting menu was very delicious!! I casually visit the place and... satisfied every time. I recommend this place to friends/family who’d like to try modern and delicious Korean-French food. Andthanks to all kind staff ???? Read more

NOTE: They only do tasting menu now and they DONT price their menu. The bill comes out to be 320 for 2 people. So def not a 2$... restaurant. The food there is pretty decent and service is nice but I still think it’s a bit overpriced based on the qualityversus price. But in general it’s really nice experience. Read more
