Ok, I have tried thousands of pasta dishes and I tend to to favor the traditional dishes the best. This may be the best dish... that I have had - and that says a lot. Incredible sauce and the noodles were phenomenal. The portions were perfect and thestaff was great. Super highly recommend because this was a totally a surprise which is always amazing! Great local Tavern with a unique concept. They don\'t offer your typical pub food but rather very delicious spaghetti dishes... served in parchment \"bags\". Great cocktails and wide selection of beers. Very reasonably priced. Friendly and attentivestaff. Read more
The decor and vibe of the place was great, but the food was a bit disappointing, considering the restaurant just opened weeks... back. The spaghetti was under cooked; it was served in glazed paper in a bowl which might’ve been good for takeaway but wasextremely inconvenient for a dine in. This place is fantastic. Great service and the food is off the carts yummy. They bake your (hand made) pasta in a little... parchment paper pouch and it comes to your table steaming hot and delicious. The pasta is quite thick but perfectly cooked andvery filling. We had the focaccia as an appetizer (insanely delicious) and the pomodoro spaghetti. Definitely will be back. Read more
Here’s the thing. This was an easily five-star spot just a few months ago. It was the only place I can think of where you... could sit under taxidermy busts, listening to honky-tonk country music, eating surprisingly great pasta, and drinking the freebeer you were awarded for wearing your cowboy hat. Sure, it was a needlessly “zany” place, but it worked because everythingit did, it did well. But now! It’s a bar. It’s a fine bar, don’t get me wrong, but it is no longer the jewel of the UpperWest Side. What was once a destination worth planning an evening around is now a spot to pop in and grab a quick beer before youget on the train.\n\nFour stars for cold beer, warm ambience, pinball machines.\n\nTwo stars for what once was and what couldhave been.\n\nThree because I’m not a jerk and I don’t want them to like, go out of business or something.
