I was super excited to see an outlet of Sugarfish on the East Coast. The previous time I had it was in California in Santa... Monica. My friends and I (5 people) dined at this location for the first time. We knew this was a popular restaurant and wemade a reservation ahead of time but when they texted us to come to restaurant we still had to wait about 30 mins before we wereseated. Overall price to quality of the food is good and I went with the "Don't Think. Just Eat." tasting menu. Compared to myfriend's sushi the quality of the fish/seafood used on my plates was slightly better but otherwise maybe not as worth the extramoney. Read more

This place doesn?t take reservation. We did get a table pretty quickly. Ambience is a little too dark but if you are in for some... moody gloomy ambience this might be the place. On sushi front we got the prefix lite option. The first dish in it was great buteverything else was just normal. We also got the NZ nigiri(again nothing exceptional) Read more

I've been to sugarfish in NYC and LA and no matter what you order, you can't go wrong. All the ingredients they use are fresh... and paired perfectly. This is the only sushi place I know that serves sushi with warm rice and I can't go back to cold rice. Iordered the Nozawa Trust Me and unagi. As usual, I loved everything. I can't wait to go back. This place was amazing. Coming from Colorado where there really is no pure sushi place. I really love how the pieces come out a... La crate instead of all at once. It gets pricey but so worth the price. Also there was no tipping, it was all built into theprices. Read more

Another great experience at sugarfish! The nigiri was very fresh and the service was quick. We did the ?trust me? and also tried... the otoro from the a la carte menu and both did not disappoint! Read more

Atmosphere was pretty good for young people. Food was just ok for the price. I assume a new cook cut the fish and cooked the... rice. It was a busy day with many customers so the rice was still hot for the sushi. Maybe they didn?t have time to preparesushi rice with proper temperature. Any staff didn?t take used plates every time even though there were no space for the newplates. The table was very small for 3. Service was very awkward. Read more

Yes. Yes, yes, yes. All the things. This is without a doubt the best. The best everything! Service, food, atmosphere. The... attention to detail for everything. The rice is unlike any sushi rice I've ever had period full stop. It's not sticky or sweet. It's just right. The fish melts in your mouth. It's just right. The staff is friendly and helpful. Walked in, they said 20-30minute wait. Went upstairs to the seating area and 20-30 minutes later they came and got us and sat us at the bar. Promptlyserved us, instructed us (if it comes with sauce, don't add sauce for example). Also there's no soup or salad or frills, justthe greatest sushi ever. Finally, even the bathroom has two soaps - one unscented for before your meal, the other scented forafter. Also, tip is built into the menu, so no math or fumbling about the service. Just pay and leave. This should be like thiseverywhere! I will be back many, many, many times. Thank you Sugarfish Read more
