Reviews for Sushi Mambo in New York, NY
Worst teriyaki chicken I’ve ever had. Worst tempura I’ve ever had. Worst shrimp tempura roll I’ve ever had. Couldn’t eat... more than a couple bites of each, and even that make me feel awful. Read more
2nd time here, food and drinks are good. LOVE THE TUNA CRISPY RICE! Wish our waitress was a little more attentive esp since... there was an automatic 18% tip. Music was a good volume but I wish they played a little more English music Read more

Ive been coming here for years. Service is always fast and food is delicious. Anthony helped accomodate me and my family to a... section of the restaurant with less noise from the music and I really appreciate that. Just keep in mind, this place is NOTwheelchair accessible Read more

Tasty ???? sushi, great creative fusion delicious rolls, and nice ambiance. The ceviche was delicious! Only negative is there... can be people next to you on Hookah while you eat. We went early enough (7pm) where it didn't become an issue but it is worthmentioning. Read more
My server wasn't attentive. Didn't even bring out my boyfriend's dish because he forgot to put the order in. The seating is... pretty cheap also, but the decor is not that bad. I would return, but only with a Groupon and I won't hold my breath for goodservice. All and all the food is pretty good. Read more
My best friend wanted to try this place after seeing it on tiktok and she asked me to join. She called to find out if we could... do walk-in seating and was told we would ABSOLUTELY need a reservation. When we arrived (on a Saturday night), the place wasempty. We actually considered going somewhere else given how quiet the vibe was, but we ultimately decided to stay. The decoritself was eye catching- colorful and festive. The plastic chairs were cute but extremely flimsy. As a bigger person, I feltvery unstable and asked to be moved to one of the booths. The staff had no problem accommodating this request. Our waiter wasvery friendly and attentive. The food and drinks had nice presentations but the taste was hit or miss. I really enjoyed mypiña colada. My best friend did not like her old fashioned. The pork bao buns appetizer was delicious but the grilled octopusappetizer tasted frozen and was very salty. We ordered 3 sushi rolls (fiesta, morir soñando, and uptown) and only enjoyed one(fiesta). Finally, we found a piece of plastic in our vanilla mochi ice cream dessert, probably a piece of the package that itwas served from. Our bill was on the pricey end, approaching $200 with included 18% gratuity, taxes, and a credit card usagefee! Keep in mind that we did not order any main dishes- only 2 cocktails, 2 appetizers, 3 sushi rolls, and a dessert. Overall, the experience was not horrible but it was also not great. We will not be in a rush to revisit. Read more
