Most probably the worse sushi experience in NYC. From hostess to fish quality. They should definitely have a sanitary... inspection. As mentioned here by others • the fish is pre cut and left in the fridge they serve it very cold to mask it’staste • Tuna fish had colourful rainbows on it • the chefs don’t clean their hands Nothing is sanitized it’sfrightening Read more

Pre-sliced fish? Not like the old Sushi Seki days. Non-Japanese sishi chefs. Bad Attitudes. Mediocre fish. Pre-slicing... exposes every surface to air and quality declines quickly. Their American clientele doesn’t know any better? Sad. Read more

They moved our time before we go there and were incredibly rude. I don’t care if your sushi is good. They also were harassing... me calling every few minutes earlier in the day to confirm the reservation- some people have to work and can’t answer thephone or call back right away. So incredibly disappointed in their hospitality, which I expect so much more from true Japaneserestaurants. Read more

Personally this is my favorite sushi spot in NYC. I ordered the Sushi dinner and my partner ordered the seki special. Both... great choices if you want variety. Omakase is also very good here. This location offers indoor and outdoor dining. As of rightnow the restaurant is not requiring proof of vax. I recommend you make a reservation as it is quite popular. Read more

Truly amazing, All omakaze are so tasty, yet delicate. This location are always busy which is good thing for them! So... Reservation is recommended. The service also go along with food quality. Nice and friendly. The timing between each dish duringbusy time might take around 10-15min. We complete the whole set and total spend time there around 3hr. It’s a nice gatheringwith friend, family or coworker to have conversation during special dinner. Read more

Absolutely delicious omakase for a pretty penny. They do open omakase so it keeps going until you ask for it to close off. If... you have a budget, you can estimate at about $40 per plate round. We came here for our anniversary dinner and was pleasantlyblown away. Every piece of fish we had was really interesting and incredibly tasty. The fatty tuna melts without needing to chewin your mouth, the oyster was just the right amount of brininess that my partner who usually dislikes oysters was happy with theflavour while I love a very strong oyster which this hit the right spot for. Their sautéed tomatoes compliments the otherdishes very well, the scallop is very tender with the right amount of salt and lemon, and my favourite might’ve been then tofusushi with tuna and tofu sauce! Overall it was quite crowded for a Friday night at 7pm and the area inside the restaurant isquite small. Consider coming earlier or calling to make a reservation ahead of time. Read more

Sushi Seki has great sushi, and it is open very late too! Come in, sit at the sushi bar, say "omikase", and lots of great sushi... appears. Third time here. I think it was even better than the last time. The great pieces of nigari just keep showing up.Anyway, they’re all so good! Read more

Quality sushi and great service, but prices seemed to be very high and the environment felt a little cramped. They have a very... wide selection of cold Sake, highly recommend getting a bottle, although it will cost you around $75 for the averagebottle. Keep in mind that what you see on the menu is not everything that's available. You can mix and match usual sushi androll combinations, and there's also a "secret" sushi menu for more interesting one pieces. The fatty tuna cost $7 a piece whenwe were there. Whole dinner cost about $400 for 4 people including tip with one bottle of Sake. It's a good spot, but justseems to be very expensive. There were no "showstoppers" or visual effects like putting anything on fire etc. They didn't havecrispy rice or even a vegetable gyoza. They should work on appealing more to the vegan and kosher crowd. Read more
