Having been twice, this is arguably one of the best, if not the best, traditional sushi omakase offered in nyc. The decor of the... restaurant is simple, but we’ll done. The sushi is next level in terms of quality of fish, rice, and taste. If available, thesake cooked sea bass is incredible - melts in your mouth and is perfectly prepared. Highly recommend visiting this staple if youare looking for a traditional Japanese omakase experience. Read more

Sadly confirmed for second time it’s not as good as under previous head chef in 2010. We ordered three appetizers, which were... the best part, the omakase 15, and a few à la carte items, for lunch this past September. Read more

As someone living in Japanese, the experience was authentic and enjoyable. Although it is somewhat pricey, the food is very good... and the fish is high quality. I would definitely come again. Read more

Their overall flavor is lean to light, really good to try out especially in summer, also they provide high quality & special... seafood where is hard to find in fusion sushi restaurants. My personal favorites are: giant clams, oyster, scallop, cherrystoneclam, shima aji, and sliver salmon. Read more

No many how many times I go they still manage to keep up their high standards. Amazing place with quality ingredients. This... place is by no mean cheap but for an omakase in New York it is quite reasonable price and their is no need for tips at thisrestaurant either. If you can try to reserve seats at the bar. A few minutes from the bar to table could make big difference intaste and temperature of the sushi. Read more

We had a nice experience at Sushi Yasuda. A splurge for sure but the ambience was pristine, the service was quick and the sushi... and sashimi was among the freshest we've tasted. My partner ordered the 15-piece omakase and I ordered the 12-piece + 3 piecesashimi, which came out a little cheaper. We also ordered another Umi handroll and the mochi. The omakase was quite good buttruthfully we couldn't distinguish from one piece to the next - the flavors all blended together whereas some other omakaseexperiences may try to enhance each piece with a different flavor. Perhaps it's because I'm not an afficiando. But we did enjoyevery piece. Likely won't return as it was quite pricey and there are too many places to try in Manhattan. Read more

I had a wonderful dinner experience here (I did a la carte, not omakase). The space was beautiful, minimal, and sparkling... clean. The service was outstanding. The food was delicious. Fish was so fresh and buttery that it melted in my mouth. Read more

I've read a few scathing reviews of this particular resturaunt so I was somewhat apprehensive in reserving a table at the 180+... price point. I'm pleased to say though that the food and service I have recieved here was well deserving of a Michilin star. Theomakase was delicious, well curated, and delivered with flair. The staff were curtious and attentive almost to a fault. Ifyou're looking for a conservatively traditional omakase experience Yasuda has my recommendation. Read more
