Mexican fine dining! I used to think that was such an oxymoron, but this place changed that. The aguachile Amberjack Aguachile... was the best aguachile I've ever had; it had a delicate spice to it and was complimented by chips that were still warm+fresh.The flautas were the best flautas I've ever had; they were accompanied with three delicious sauces to dip. The carnitas tacoshad crisp+tender pieces and tasted authentic af. All the dishes tasted like they were consciously constructed with depth as theprimary focus. Rice and beans were great. Update: Returned with a party of 7, didn’t sit at the bar and our experience was fantastic! It was a birthday party for my... fiancé and our server, Kevin, was fun, accommodating, knowledgeable and engaging. We all had a wonderful time and the food wasdelicious! Previous visit: Great tacos ???? with a side of the worst service - ever. We’ve had trouble finding good Mexicanfood in New York, but Tacos Guey delivers! Diver scallop ceviche, tacos, tamales, quac, and chips and salsa were all delicious.I would highly recommend. Just don’t sit at the bar with the self-important, know-it all, female bartender who believes thatwhatever she’s currently doing takes precedence over actually listening to her guests. Over the course of a two hour dinner,we had to stop mid-sentence at least a handful of times because she would walk or turn away to either bus her station (becauseit couldn’t wait for some reason) or to bark orders at her fellow employees. The rudeness was truly unbelievable! Fortunately,everyone else was very nice and the food is excellent, so we’ll definitely come back - especially if we never have to sit withher again. Read more
First of all, I wanna thank all the staff because starting with the hostess everyone was super nice. The place looks and feels... very elegant and even though I was wearing a Sponge Bob shirt (???????????? I know I’m sorry) they treat us like everyone inthere and they gave us a table. Kevin was our waiter and he helped us with the menu. We started off with the papa con quesofried tacos, which were ok… the tortilla felt a little stale it was hard to chew. Then the tacos, we ordered 2 de hongos, 4 decarnitas y 2 de asada. The carnitas were amazing!! Like some of the best carnitas in the country, the asada was really good toobut the hongo had a really weird after taste. At the end we ordered churros and they were bad, they were doughy, undercooked, wedidn’t eat them and that’s the 2nd time we leave dessert at the table. Overall was a good experience. Read more

Do yourself a favor and get the whole grilled fish. All the food was good, but this dish by far was the best and honestly some... of the best fish I've ever had. The ceviches were wonderful as well and the vibe of the place is great. Read more
The bartenders were friendly and the drinks were very good. Luckily my wife and I went during happy hour where (small-ish)... margaritas are $10 each.... The food was very good. I had the birria tacos and they were absolutely excellent. Tender juicy meatwith a small dipping bowl. The carnitas tacos were also very good although the meat came out at room temperature. I prefer hotfood to be hot or at least very warm. Still it was very good. Guacamole was also good. Many folks state that this place it veryexpensive for Mexican street tacos. This is true. But the place is very nice and I would suggest to go during happy hour tolessen drink prices...somewhat. Read more
Really amazing restaurant especially if you love ceviche like me. Lot of review talk about price but for the quality of seafood... you get, the location and the overall satisfaction, it was a fair price for us. They also handmade the chip and tortillas whichmade all the difference. Will definitely come back Read more
The portions are small and the price is high. The guacamole appetizer was a quarter of a cup, maybe. Two small tacos per order.... I liked the macha salsa—it came in a little squeeze tube. The coconut ice pop was tasty, it was vegan and gluten free! Theservice was good, the food was good, but honestly not anything extremely special for the price. Read more
