Had an amazing meal at Tagmo tonight! They have plenty of vegan options and the mango cocktails were delicious! Such a nice... change from the typical run-of-the-mill Indian restaurant food in the US. Highly recommend the methi paratha and the chaats.Chef Sahni is a truly humble and gracious person and took out the time to come talk to us and even sent out vegan mithai on thehouse when she found out that it was my birthday weekend! Highly recommend! Read more

I had a beautiful Saturday evening this weekend thanks to the wonderful Tagmo family and their authentic menu. A large part of... my amazing dinning experience was due the warm smiles of the staff and the superb person named Grace who shared wonderfulrecommendations with me . I got to meet Chef Surbhi too, who represented the amazing Indian culture - full of authenticity, respect for all , and lots of love. At Tagmo, I tried sabudana vada, khandavi, methi thepla, and kalan kuzhambu. The greenchutney that came with sabudana vada deserves a shout out of its own. Loved it! Khandavi and thepla were amazing additions tothe menu from the Gujrati cuisine. It took me right back to home. Kalan Kuzhambu was a hands-down surprising star of the theevening - it is a Tamil influenced mushroom delicacy with corn (yum!) and coconut curry. I also tried the mango chili drinkwith ginger and chili - loved it! Thank you for a lovely evening, I recommend Tagmo and would love to return soon. Read more

Absolutely a must visit restaurant! The well decorated restaurant, excellent staff, and elegant cocktails elevate your mood... and senses while you peruse the menu. Then, the food arrives and wows you. Some dishes are simple homestyle dishes with atwist while others are fusion delights. Read more

A fabulous addition to NYC’s culinary landscape! Chef Surbhi Sahni’s new restaurant and sweets shop at South Street Seaport... is wonderful in every way - from the decor to the presentation to the flavors to the specialty cocktails to the staff. My wifesaid they’ve pulled off something unusual: Serving dishes from two ends of India - a Kashmir meat dish and a Tamil Nadu fishdish - that both taste authentically homemade. We wanted to try everything on the menu but only go through about 50%! Myteenage kids loved the food and non-alcoholic drinks and were so complimentary about how the shrimp, chicken and cauliflowerwere each cooked perfectly. We were thrilled and can’t wait to return! Amazing food. The dishes are simple and incredibly well cooked and full of flavor. We got the eggplant, lamb dumplings/meatballs... and Goan shrimp. The shrimps tasted so fresh! The lamb meatballs were light/fluffy and meaty at the same time. Highly recommendthis restaurant. We will be going back soon. Read more
