What an embarrassment to the city of New York and the country. One of the ugliest cafes I've ever been to. Tiny, miniscule... museums everywhere in the world have a bit of nice tile or something other than builder grade garbage in their cafes. The METshould exemplify art everywhere not just inside frames. From the mismatched signs to the subway tile, to the random black stripto the hideous white white paint and bad lighting. This has to be one of the ugliest cafes in world relative to the prestige ofthe building and the money flowing in. Read more

The worst museum cafe in New York, which is a shame because otherwise I could easily spend an entire day at the Met. But the... food is barely edible. Read more

This place was a waste of time, money, and brain cells. We only went here because we didn't want to stand in line again if... re-entering the MET, but this is borderline exploitative. The line is ridiculous, and the food is quite literally the mostoverpriced I have ever heard of. $9 for a fruit cup? $10 for a PB&J? $5 fountain drinks? $8 for a cold brew? The food lacks...what's the word. FLAVOR! These chips are awful. Checkout staff lack any sympathy and are truly drunk on power. I would quiteliterally go hungry than spend another minute in zonkatronic god-foresaken eighth circle of hell. Read more

The museum is fantastic... but stay away from this place. Not because of the food but because of the staff. I was never treated... so poorly after paying for a service. When it was time to pay (20 dollars for a burger) this extremely rude cashier acted insuch a poor manner that I wanted to leave the food there and leave. Counted the money wrongly, asked me more money (because shecan't count correctly), then passive aggressively threw the rest of the money at me. After that she had the nerves to apologizeto the person after me because of the "wasted time" (that she was creating because she can't count the money). And she did thatnot only with me but with my girlfriend right afterwards. She did other disrespectful things i don't want to get into, probablybecause I'm not "american". You pay good money to be treated poorly, avoid this place especially if you are a foreigner! Read more

The worst museum cafe: The food here may sound appealing but it?s overpriced and nasty. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich and... received a piece of refried chicken between some burger buns. They served it over a thick piece of lettuce. The drinks here arecrazy expensive, $5 for a short amount of lemonade from a dispenser machine. The tables are dirty with weird stains. If yourgonna eat here, just save yourself the money and appetite and get pizza not the burgers from the ?kitchen? area. Read more

Decent food, though a bit overpriced as you expect in museums. The set up is rather confusing, especially if you want coffee or... tea. You can only order it after you pay for food, and the woman behind the counter is incredibly rude. She tried to charge mefor the food I'd already paid for, then got rude when I mentioned the set-up was confusing, and cursed me out in Greek. I'mpretty sure she still overcharged for a mediocre coffee ($8?!!), but I just wanted to get away and go eat. The tables are veryclean and well spaced. The rest of the employees were great, very friendly. Just avoid the coffee counter unless the cafere-arranges things so you can get your drinks while getting your food, and only have to pay once. That would avoid needlessconfusion. Read more
