The Meatball Shop was just average in terms of a grade. It did some things well, and others not so much. The goods: The... Parmesan sauce for the noodles. Very delicious. Service: our hostess seated us right away even though we were slightly early forour reservation. Our waiter was also very attentive and answered our questions and refilled beverages very quickly. Theacceptables: Chicken Meatballs: easily the best of the meatballs we had. Serving size: completely standard and what Iexpected. Most of the pricing: minus the soup which was unreasonably high (more on that in a minute) The environment: Kind of amix between a tavern and sports bar. I can get behind that. The not so goods: Standard meatballs: unenjoyable, feels like theytried to do too much with these and over seasoned these. The Italian Wedding Soup: at $12/bowl I expect near perfection in asoup. The grease from the meatballs polluted the soup base and created a weird cross flavored broth that was very unpleasant.I'm most bitter about this as Wedding soup is one of my favorites. Considering that I was visiting New York from Chicago, itwas highly unlikely that I was going to come back here. But it's also unlikely I recommend it now either. But I wish them thebest. Read more

Pain in my heart is what I felt when I found out that they cut the menu in half. My favorites used to be the crab ball and... lobster balls. I am not Sure why they cut those along with other things. Yet, this place still never disappoints and I quiteenjoy their food. Delicious is an understatement and drinks are great too. had an awesome lunch! covid precautions in full effect, great social distancing and cleaning. i got a lot of different types... of meatballs. the buffalo ones had an amazing bleu cheese sauce, and the chicken ones in the pasta were excellent. i willdefinitely be back for more next time i'm in the city. I ate lunch at this location about one week ago. The place is not very large, but it does have a rustic, comfortable feel. My... guest and I were promptly seated. I ordered a glass of Suntory Japanese whiskey, which I was surprised to find on the menu. Forappetizers, I ordered the butternut squash and the buffalo meatballs. The squash was cooked well but lacked flavor. On thecontrary, the buffalo meatballs were delicious. They were grilled and lightly coated in buffalo sauce. For entrees, I ordered abasic hero consisting of four chicken meatballs in a whole wheat roll. I selected mozzarella cheese and basil pesto to be addedto my sandwich. My guest ordered the Crab meatball Po'Boy, which consisted of five, fried crabmeat balls on a brioche bun withaioli. My sandwich was simple and delicious, but filling. My guest enjoyed their sandwich, but remarked that the crabmeat ballswere too fried Ultimately, my dining experience at this location was enjoyable.
