The staff was friendly and gave good service from the hosts to the servers. The food was good and flavorful. The beer battered... onion rings were on point. The blackened chicken and steak was tasty. Wonderful place, well located in New York, almost on the corner with Time Square, delicious food (I couldn't eat what I ordered... because the sandwich that comes with pork belly was so big) excellent service at night! We went to celebrate my husband'sbirthday and we were treated very well. Not to mention the care and attention they gave me for being allergic to seafood! One of the best bbq I have had in a long time. It was so good that I had to go back and have it again for the second time. They... also have the best bbq hot sauce. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I had the chicken sandwich the first time and thechicken plate second round and they both was very flavorful and yummy. Honestly I used 2 really like this place 4 BBQ in NY but it kind of seems the Quality of the actual BBQ is slipping. The Brisket... was really Dry & Slathered in Sauce so was the Pulled Pork. The Chicken was on Point still Moist & didn't need any sauce. All ofthe sides were pretty good except for me the collard greens were too sweet but I'm sure that's just preference. Virgil's reminds me of a Famous Dave's with an upstairs and a bar. The prices are very reasonable and they do offer family... shared meals. For family eats and cute pop music this is the place. The patrons were friendly and staff waited on you hand andfoot. I ate everything on my plate and used a mix of their BBQ sauces. Nice place in the City that is right off of the mainroads in Time Square. Read more
Service was great, food was average and beer was really sad. Our waitress was really friendly, but visibly doing more work than... she should. Food wasn’t anything special. Everything that had sauce looked a little artificial. And, for last, beer was VERYsad — without any foam and looking like soda. This would be unacceptable in most parts of the world (and even New York!), butapparently it was normal and every other table had similarly sad beers. The ambiance was cheerful and this place has a nicehistory. Unfortunately I may have visited in a bad day, but until next visit it was a 3 star experience. Read more
