I’m giving this restaurant 2 stars because it was cozy and clean. The steaks were awful, I ordered my rib eye medium, and... they brought it rare. My wife ordered a New York steak and the chef trying to sear it burned it. My wife couldn’t even finishher meal, she also ordered broccolis and they were hard like a stone. I see two problems with this place. First, the quality ofthe steak is like USDA, and second, the chef doesn’t know how to cook a steak. If you are tired of walking around Manhattanand want to get a nice steak, look somewhere else. Read more

Phenomenal Steak! And the Scallops wrapped in bacon were INCREDIBLE - both pictured. I've never had such combo before. Just... perfection of a place. Read more

Go for the porterhouse steak if you are a carnivore! So juicy, tender, flavorful and enjoyable! Add to it the lovely mushroom... risotto and creamy spinach! The service so on point but unfortunately we weren’t custom to the services culture so we gaveless tip than we meant to. Next time we’re in NYC we’ll do better! If you can’t finish up, bring home in boxes! Don’twaste food in times like this when environment and energy are critical!! Read more

Incredible experience. We always love to go here when in town, the service is always top notch, but seems to have gotten better.... We even asked for more bread rolls, which are amazing and they had no problem giving us more. The asparagus is the best I’veever had! It’s my favorite every time, pure bliss. I had the bone in rib-eye and it was cooked to perfection. It is notoverpriced and definitely not a tourist trap. I will take a plane to the city just to eat here. Call me crazy. Read more

Absolutely phenomenal meal and excellent service. The staff was so friendly and they worked like a well oiled machine. The food... was beyond delicious, I would eat dinner here every day if I could. One of the best steaks I've ever had. Read more

I was contemplating giving 4 stars, but considering that this is a steak house, it could have done a bit better with the most... important part of the meal - the steak. We started off with an espresso martini, which was good, and a bottle of red, theUnshackled - enjoyed both very much. The bacon was actually amazing and I would totally come back just for that! The tomatoesand onions were simple (I mean there’s nothing much to that), but I love tomatoes and I loved that it came with a steak sauce! Now here comes the steak. We ordered a porterhouse medium rare. Initially I had asked also for horseradish but the waiter saidthey didn’t have any so we got bearnaise sauce… I thought it was strange because what steakhouse doesn’t have horseradish?Once the steak arrived, it was a shame that my medium rare was well done on the outside and rare on the inside. Even afterhaving a few bites, you could taste the dryness from the outer layer. As much as I hate to say this, but it wasn’t cookedevenly to the right temp and probably thrown on a high flame quickly which is why it ended up being “black and blue.” It wasliterally like a medium well done outside and a rare inside in my opinion. At the end of the meal I ended up asking anotherwaiter if they indeed did not have horseradish. He mentioned that our waiter was new and apologized for that. We took our rarepieces home and got the horseradish to go as well. If the steak was cooked perfectly, it would have been 5 stars from us. If itwere a regular restaurant, 4. But because it’s known to be a steakhouse, unfortunately thats why I dropped it down to 3. Read more

We had a fabulous meal there - lamb shank and salmon were our entree choices and they were both extremely well executed -... perfection. The bed of mushroom risotto under my lamb shank was YUM!!! We also ordered a side of creamed spinach that wastop-notch. Wine list was ok for by-the-glass options, but wholly impressive on the bottle selections: Jordan, Stags Leap, orSilver Oak cabs would have been perfect for steaks. Definitely would come back! Nice and small restaurant very close to the Lincoln tunnel. Clean and friendly. Menu has a nice selection and the prices are... decent for midtown Manhattan. The ribeye was a little small for a 16 oz, but it was a bone-in cut. Texture and flavor waspretty yummy. The NY strip had a flavorful seasoning and the meat was pretty tender for the type of cut. The sides were good, but not great. The mashed potatoes were slightly bland, but creamy. The risotto was the same as the mashed. The calamariappetizer was good and will be repeated at our next visit. Overall, a good find for a late lunch/early dinner. Read more
