The place is extremely laid back. It refreshing in a city that doesn't stop. The owners are extremely friendly. The beer is well... priced. Really yummy food in a nice cozy spot. I particularly love this place because of how old and vintage it feels. And it?s fun... seeing pictures on the wall pertaining to pieces of history, such as Prohibition and so on. The staff are very friendly andwelcoming, and the prices are very reasonable. My steak, potatoes and salad costed me $20. I came here with a friend and wespent under $40. I can?t wait to come back here!!! Read more
Amazing experience. Great food, incredibly good prices, and unbelievable service. If I could go 10 stars, I would. The food... is fresh, delicious, and clearly plated/served with care. The beers are $5 or $6 with a great selection. Service unequaledanywhere. The most pretentious places with the $18 side order of "truffle fries" doesn't hold a candle to this spot. Everysingle person I encountered was genuine, nice, and great at their job. Not sure what else to say - give this place a shot. Andenjoy. Read more
Delicious food and a friendly staff. Service was a bit slow, but if you've got time to wait it's a great stop.
The service is quick and delivers in quality. I got the wings as my meal and the were crispy, hot, and huge! Came with a good... amount of celery and carrots. My husband was happy with his fish and chips. The cider beer on tap was the best I've had and thebathrooms were clean! Great little place with history. Read more
We were so happy to find this restaurant during our recent visit to Battery Park in NYC. If you want a nice lunch of comfort... food, this is the place. Exactly what you need after a long walk in New York. The staff is very polite and does everything to make your stay... comfortable. We really appreciated that there was no music, so we were able to to have a quiet chat after walking around for along time. Also the service was pretty quick. The food was perfect and the drinks (we had beers at the table and changed to thebar for a whiskey sour) were nice. We would definitely come back! Read more
