Wokuni, you impressed me. Located off of Lexington in midtown, the location is not ideal. However, I was not expecting the... level of service and the quality of fish that we were served in this modern Japanese restaurant. Very nice space with a long baragainst the wall when you walk in. Plenty of tables and booths with a sushi bar in the back of the restaurant. Clean lineswith modern decor, cool space to enjoy dinner. The studio was fantastic. The Scallop sashimi was like butter. The tuna triosashimi was perfect with regular tuna, medium fat tuna and Toro. The sushi platter allowed us to try a large selection ofvarious excellent options. Ended with the Negi Toro roll, so good. To top it all off, our server, Ronnie, was tremendous. Knowledgeable and very attentive, he made sure the service matched the quality of the meal. Nice work! I’ve always wanna try their daily special! It’s limited so you have to come very early. The restaurant opens at 11am, and... most of the time the special meal will be gone around 11:40am. Anyway, I finally got my special of the day with a house sake! Itwas amazingly good and of course for a price rage $25, this was awesome!!! The sea food was super fresh and delicious! And withthe sake, a perfect match! What a good place for a delicious Japanese cuisine! I’ll visit this place more often! Read more

The restaurant is gorgeous and the food overall tasty and well executed, but I have to say it: you guys really need to chill... with the salt. I'm not sure why you would want to put salt (and a lot of it too) on sashimi, especially when the othercondiments/sauces on it are already quite salty themselves. It was very over seasoned, not pleasant at all. I also found theplace a bit overpriced for the type of service/selection offered. I did enjoy the service though, and really appreciated ourserver inviting me to taste various sake samples to help me choose. The dessert was amazing, both the dorayaki and the mochi icecream were absolutely delicious. Read more

We enjoyed lunch several times. You should go early if you want Wokuni-Don which is truly amazing and highly recommend. It has... appetizers (edamame, salad, Japan pickles) and Miso soup, 2shrimp tempuras, a satsuma (sweet yam) tempura, and tons of sashimion the rice. It’s a very good deal and satisfying! Read more

Amazing appetizers. I love the avocado salmon salad and their skewers. We ordered the wagyu beef and the chicken thigh skewers... and the chicken thighs were my personal favorite. Very nice atmosphere, great drinks and great food! Read more

Best spicy tuna roll I’ve ever had. The spicy scallop roll melted in mouth. The food was great, ambiance was very cool, but... the service did not match. Wish I could’ve ordered more rolls or another drink but our waiter just never came back to check onus. Would give it another chance though because of how much I enjoyed the food. Read more
