Nice cozy place located on the second floor by 6th Avenue .. great location, prices are not cheap but if you come here for... dinner, their happy hour is from 5-9:30 pm during the week.. we ordered California roll from their happy hour and edamame (whichhad way to much salt so it was impossible to enjoy). We also got tonkotsu ramen which was not bad (it's hard to impress mebecause I'm a chef myself) we paid $18 for it . Service was good but not the best, I wish they smiled more often and didn'tlook like they want you to leave at closing time. They were literally staring at us the whole time which was veryuncomfortable.. overall experience was good, might be back again ) Read more

This is the first time I had genuine Ramen. The most genuine is the pork one, and I highly recommend it. Where else can you get... ramen that's more authentic than in New York City? Read more

Beware of the steps when entering. Other then that, have a seat and enjoy your meal. This restaurant is perfect for people on... the go who are looking for the simple classics. We ordered green tea, the wings, and cucumber salad for appetizers. Then had theeggplant sushi, pork bun, and pork ramen. All of the were classic without Any frills. Perfect for not too picky eaters. Ramen!! Service 5 stars Food 5 stars Prices 5 stars Environment 5 starts I think they have the best Ramen in Manhattan, even... NYC. I been looking for the best ramen about 2 years ago and I find it. The portions are really good, they are so tasty andtraditional, you can feel that you’re in Asia. The restaurant is gorgeous and comfortable. The service is excellent andkind. The prices are good, i can even say for the service that they give, the food and the environment the prices are cheap. Iorder for the table Tonkutsu ramen: it was delicious. Veggie ramen: this was the most surprising one because was really good, and it wasn’t spicy ( mistake that the restaurant make when the do something vegan/veggie they make it spicy ) Chicken ramen:really good too. One out of many good ramen restaurants in the city. As you walk up the stairs and head into the restaurant it feels as... something you'd experience in Tokyo. It was clean, friendly staff and nice art pieces around the restaurant. The food wasgreat and a good refresher to get you back out there and exploring the city. Read more

By far one of the best meals I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time. The flavors were incredible, especially the braised... beef. I had never had kimchi before and it was a great introduction. Excellent wait staff and timing for food. All around agreat experience. Pictured is the Yama beef don. Read more

If you are a Ramen lover, that’s the place. It’s been around for a while and the menu options doesn’t change much but... their classics are great. They have other options but for me the Ramen is the go to. The sizes of the bowl are fair and thetaste is incredible. They have a good price by the way. Place is not big though, if you’re going on the weekends I suggest youmake a reservation, specially if you plan to go in groups of 3 or more. Read more

Yama Ramen has been around for quite some time, and is a good fallback if you are craving a bowl. The pork broth was decently... flavorful, the noodles were a little overcooked. The pork was excellent and tender. A hidden place less traveled due to it'ssecond floor placement, great to sit in a quieter spot for a meal. Read more
