Coffee is eh, zero ambience. I didn't eat any food but saw some splattered on the wall. Good prices.
Whenever my wife and i are on main street early in the morningt we stop here for breakfast. Always good.
Nice place but everything takes so long. There really not that busy. I ordered two bagels and a blended juice. After 20 minutes... I finally went to ask where it was and it was sitting behind the counter. Read more
Bad service, ordered from Grubhub over an hour and a half ago, called to tell them I have not yet received order. Was told to... contact Grubhub directly, Grubhub then contacted Central Perks and Central Perks said I received order already, even though Ihave not received it yet. Just got my refund, rather go somewhere else smh. Read more
How does this place make money? I was meeting a business acquaintance for a cup of coffee and a conversation. When I arrived,... every table (except one) was occupied by students working on their computers. The majority didn't have drinks or food on theirtables. I grabbed the empty table and brought a chair over from another table. A young lady walked in, made a bee line to theempty chair at my table grabbed it and started to walk away. I told her I was waiting for someone. She went to another table,sat down and started working (without buying anything). I feel bad for the owners of this place. It appears the kids treat itlike a library when they can get coffee if they desire. It is also pretty loud, so we did have a hard time communicating overthe din. And yes, we both ordered coffee and food, so we "paid" for our seats. Read more
Enjoyed this place immensely! It was a cute, college cafe with a young adult atmosphere. Our omelettes were delicious and the... staff was very warm and inviting. It made out trip the Newark, DE all the more delightful. Lots of outlets to charge electronicsand a real simple set up. Read more
Second time around at the Central Perk, so I figured a review is in order. I checked this place out with my friend since it had... the same name as in FRIENDS :-) To be honest, it was more for her entertainment. Obviously its not trying to be like the thecafe in the TV show, we really just wanted to grab some coffee. I was sorted with bold double and my lady happy with hercappuccino. Previous time I got a red-eye. And in both occasions their robust servings where a great pick me up. Nicesandwiches too. Just a bit of a wait, but well worth it. For me the quality of the coffee and food is important than promptservice. Would be nice if they had more of a hipster CAFE feel, without the hipsters of course. Bottom line, if you want a goodcup, this is the place. Read more
