Me and my girlfriend decided to stop by and try Burger Thursdays. I don't know ho as back there cooking but This was by far the... best burger I have ever had on main street. Food was delicious, one of the better burgers I have had in a while. Fries were delicious, brought home half a burger and... fries, both reheated perfectly. Philly Short Rib Tots and fried pickles were good also. Drinks were good. Everyone seemed toenjoy their meal. Would have given it 5 stars yet a fairly green waitress seemed overwhelmed by the large crowd. Didn't blameher, there were plenty of others that could have jumped in to help her out. 2 bar maids couldn't help her carry over the tablesdrinks and let her carry 2 at a time? Only a manager on duty helped with appetizers with a stone face. Manager on duty alsoseemed annoyed with her (unless that's her natural face) when she pulled her over to show her something on the computer/orderscreens. What a terrible dining experience. Should of known when at 6:30 PM no wait and empty tables. Thursday is Taco night so myself... and the others in my party ordered same. Took 30 minutes and got to watch the inattentive manager eat his tacos along withsomeone from the kitchen Tacos arrive and I am not exaggerating it was like eating cauliflower between two burnt crackers. Wouldhave loved to talk to the manager but our wait person couldn't be bothered with waiting on us Will never eat there ever again!See pictures and to our wait person find a career you want to do girl please stop letting yourself down and the patrons of thisplace. The food at stone balloon used to be quite nice but unfortunately the burgers seem to have taken a turn toward mediocre-to-poor.... After ordering the Cali Burger today, to be cooked medium, I received a beef patty without any sauce, cooked beyond well done.The exterior had the texture and toughness of overcooked pancetta. The bun itself had been grilled so long that it deterioratedinto dust upon biting, thus requiring a copious amount of sauce to make the burger edible. I eat at Stone Balloon from time totime and the meals are occasionally still very nice, but any sense of reliability has been removed for me with a number ofrepeated poor performances. Read more
We wanted to try something new for dinner last night. We opted to go into downtown Newark instead of going to the same places.... The Stone Balloon hit it out of the park right away. Friendly staff. Walked in and was seated right away. Greeted by ourwaitress immediately with a smile. She took our drink order and came back to get our food order. Difficult to choose what to eatbecause everything sound good on the menu. The food was amazing!!! Great service from the staff. Will absolutely be back to tryother food options. Read more

Stone Balloon is one of the best restaurants in Newark, DE. I?ve been for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and it?s never been a... disappointment. Recently went and got $5 cocktails and keg fries. They are to die for. 10/10 Read more
