Worst pizza ever. Charged me $50 for extra sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. None of those are on this pizza. Dasher got an $11... tip. Stephanie, the. Manager, first hung up on me and then a total lying nightmare claiming I?m going to get a refund when Igot $5 back. Do not order from Grottos on Main Street Newark. Would have given this 5 stars had an employee and her friend not threatened me for asking whether a collapsed patron was alive.... Good bar, great vibes, but some staff have no professionalism. It?s not fair to antagonize customers for asking simplequestions. Really disappointing this time. Read more
Good food. Not the best customer service and not very clean.
Was not overly surprised that someone had an issue with the bartender Adam on the same night as myself. He seemed to be handling... a couple different drink orders which we patiently waited for him to finish before grabbing his attention. He rudely walked awayfrom us before we could finish telling him what we wanted. It was another long wait before we got the rest of our order. Lady I was with at the bar said ?excuse me? as polite as possible to ask for some napkins. Bartending Adam (short gentleman with... mullet) scolded her saying he?d see her and that it was rude for her asking for something. His disrespect ruined the vibe. I returned to Grotto in Newark after having a positive experience on a previous visit. This time I came to take advantage of the... 5$ off dine in large pizza special. The bar was fairly occupied and the large dining room was empty. I scanned the provided QRcode and pulled up the menu on my phone. I was ready to order as soon as the server appeared. The pizza came out quickly and wasnot disappointing. Grotto pizzas have a unique flavour and you won?t mistake it for anywhere else. That includes both nationalchains and local pizza shops. The cheese and the sauce make it just right snd that, in turn, makes it just Grotto. Read more
Good pizza and service is quick when not crammed with the college young'uns. Don't bring kids here after 7pm.
