Reviews for Andros Restaurant in Newark, NJ
The good rating is for the food but the lady on the phone had an attitude with me because I called 10am to put a order in for... lunch which I do every Friday she's told me to call back at 11 o'clock Read more
It's a perfectly serviceable diner in the Newark area, that's still open 24-hours. The food is regular diner-food, nothing... exciting or unique. But in a pinch, like if you're craving pancakes at 2:30am, this place works. Read more
I arrived in the middle of the night and the food was good, piping-hot, and generously-portioned. My fries were crisp, the... cheese on my burger was melted perfectly, and the mozzarella sticks were everything I expect out of mozzarella sticks. I wasoffered a coffee refill almost as soon as I finished the cup, every time. The free wifi was also speedy and easy to connect to.I was too stuffed to try any of the dessert options, but I look forward to them if I get the chance to visit again sometime! Read more

For being a 24hr store, it satisfies what I needed after a long day. I?m not a native so I was happy to see something was open... at 1am. The service was very friendly and efficient. The food wasn?t anything special, but it got the job done when I needed it,which was what mattered the most. Overall I?d come back if it was after midnight and I?m hungry. Read more
Customer service was amazing!!! The food was good. The Manhattan clam chowder is fantastic! Wings were good also.
Honest price to a good food. The waitress are very friendly. This place looks like a family restaurant. I recommend it.
Andros will charge expensive prices for average food. We went a group of 4 at midnight.. we ordered a NY strip steak, Penne... vodka pasta, two chicken Parms with pasta and 2 Heineken $200 it came out to, with 18% gratuity snuck in there The real issuewas paying $200 to eat average food with bland seasoning, an overcooked steak, and average service, in an average environment (a diner ) The quality Portuguese / restaurants here in Newark charge this much too The difference is that their food, serviceand ambient is GREAT... like Sol-Mar, Portugalia, Boi na Brasa However, Andros.. not so much Andros will charge you this muchfor average service and average food. Please be smart and avoid this garbage place. Owner should learn his lesson. No wonder Iwalked in on a Sunday night and it was empty. If you're hungry at midnight and everywhere is closed.. You're better off goingto Altas Horas or something. Read more
