food is so small portion that im still hungry now. ontop of that i took it to go and the teriyaki sauce spilled all over my... brand new clothes, from my shirt to my pants. i wish i took back my 5 dollar tip. i will never go back again. p.s. now i knowwhy its always empty and they still never pick up the phone. Confused... Is this a Spanish/Portuguese Tapas OR Japanese Sushi place? Since they have no Sake or Sapporo beer or any Japanese... beer available, I ordered a half pitcher of red sangria that was good, perhaps a little sweet (also available in white butblue/green?). I found the Tapas selections a bit limited. Blue/white Potato chips, Sweet potato fries, sake chorizo and 3 shrimpselections. Hmmm... So I ordered the fried dumplings which were delicious & enjoyably very crispy. And the Sushi Tower, whilenot exactly a "tower as in multi level presentation but a formed layered presentation" it was delicious. Now I'm craving somesake. Wait...if they have Sake Chorizo, why not Sake behind the bar? Curious is that they have eel sauce as a side sauce but noeel on the menu? So if I'm craving sushi, I'll be back to explore cuz there aren't alot of Sushi places in the Ironbound. Butplease stock some Sake or Sapporo beer. Read more
1 star because this place took an hour to make our food, we had to wait for water over 20 minutes and they never refilled it... until we asked for a check (weird) The food was alright (had a better tasting sushi) The special roll was definitely not worthits price. My miso soup never arrived even after asking for it multiple times (miso soups shouldn?t take long to make) Would notbe coming back here for sure. Read more
The food was good the first time I went there. And the staff was good as well as the music. I sat outside had a wonderful time.... However, I go back about 3 weeks later and I take five friends and it's a 360-degree difference. The wait staff was awful, theservice, and the sangria. We had the blue sangria first to try it and it tastes a little bit too strong but it had 3 pieces offruit and a lot of ice. I asked for another sangria later because the food was still good and it's pictured here. But the redsangria was ordered and brought out and was totally awful! It tastes like a juice out of 7-Eleven. The bartender did try to makeup for it by offering us bottom shelf shots. Try it, maybe your opinion will be different from mine and maybe your servicetoo. I don't know if I'll be back ever return. I was pleasantly surprised to run into this lovely restaurant with outdoor seating on a beautiful Saturday . The waitress... recommended the bento boxes- and my shrimp teriyaki with tempura veggies, rice and salad/ drink were amazing! Fresh and delish Read more
