We came on a Friday at 11:15 and the line was long took about 30 minutes to get through but was so worth it! We got a camel... latte and a frosted pumpkin latte both frozen. I love there Boba. There mango was my favorite until my daughter bought the lavender with brown sugar Boba. Love, love, love it.... This is like the 12th time we've ordered from River Road and I don't think that we will be going to Starbucks anymore. I am currently facilitating a Habitat build in Newark and have little knowledge about the surrounding area. I was in desperate... need of a place to work with wifi and, although the library is wonderful, it's not open early enough for me. So, I thoughtStarbucks! They are on every corner. Well, my GPS only pointed to one's that seemed to be in other buildings. As I left theKroger Starbucks flustered I spotted River Road Coffee. What a dream! What a treat! The employee who greeted me was so friendlyand bubbly and her energy melted away all my anxiety in regards to finding a workspace. She handed me a card for the wifi andexplained the tea selection as I looked puzzled. I'd go for a Cosmopolitan sweetened with blackberry. The entire staff there istop-notch. I used to work in Customer Service so when the entire team seems genuine and happy, it's a skill you cannotteach. After leaving this retreat I headed back to the build site to chat with the team and remembered she mentioned one inDowntown Newark. This is where I am currently leaving this review. To no one's surprise Micenzie B. is the hanging there as theEmployee of the Quarter. Only speaking with her for a short while I knew she deserved it. Energy like hers are few in thisworld. Seriously the best coffee place I've ever been to. Puts Starbucks to shame. Great bagels and other food items as well.

Drinks are always amazing and the food is great! Employees are always smiling which makes the atmosphere even better combined... with the good music and the cute space! I love that they have a drive thru option also for those busy mornings! Read more
