My favorite River Road location! The baristas are always so friendly, the line moves quickly, and the drinks are consistently... well made. I appreciate that the specialty drinks each have distinct flavor profiles...unlike some other coffeehouse chains inthe area. :) I love the weekly "question wall" and participate whenever I have a spare minute while waiting on my order. Not overly loud. Quite friendly atmosphere. Almost like Cheers from TV but without the active bar (that part is closed). The... wait staff are amazing, serve you with a smile and more than happy to help with any information you might need to make yourselection. And their hot chocolate is absolutely out of this world according to my wife. So now if I need make her happy I knowwhat bring her home. Read more
Always loved this coffee. Lately the foot traffic has really overwhelmed the nice help here. That, and hours after opening... there's nothing to eat except for random sad muffins. This is a great spot and I'm going to keep going until they bring back my"better morning muffins." What else am I gonna do... go to S%&#bucks? Read more
Yummmm!!! So many delicious options. I had 2 coffee beverages and both were great! Also loved the feel, including the poll... questions for staff and guests and the bulletin board. Will definitely go back to try their gluten free goodies sometime! Read more
This River Road Coffee location is an amazing community coffee house. Tucked in downtown Newark, it?s a great place for food,... latte hot or cold, or to sit down and have a great conversation with new or old friends. They have an amazing seating and quickorder time. Cozy and fashionable atmosphere, gracious and helpful employees (especially to someone who isn't fluent in the coffee house... lingo lol) As for recommendations, the, "Galaxy" Latte is positively decadent, bold flavors of Chocolate and Carmel withoutbeing overtly sweet. Read more
I've been a long-time fan of RR coffee. The atmosphere at this downtown location is really nice. Has a metro feel but still... friendly and comfortable. This is a great addition to the downtown Newark area! My go-to drink is the River Road Mocha, hot,with an extra shot. The bacon breakfast burritos are great too!
