Bad service and vibes. We are locals in Newaygo and frequent the brewery often. Unfortunately the service has gone downhill. ... Do not go here if you are a family or a larger group. One visit Becky, a manager at Newaygo, refused to seat us together as afamily of 7. When asked to sit at the available 6 top she told us we wouldn?t have room for our food. We had to eat our pizzaat separate tables. Another time I walked in with my daughter and she was willing to seat us until I told her we were a partyof 7. We were told the kitchen was closing and pushed out the door even though I called ahead of time and was told we wouldhave no problem being seated for dinner. This is unfortunate because we enjoy the food at NBC. Check out River Stop cafeacross the street for a full menu and drinks and much better vibes. Read more
Service typically can overshadow poor food and ambiance. In this case the food and drink were great, unfortunately the wait... staff couldn?t meet the average hospitality service bar. Came in as a single went to the bar which was full, ordered a beer anda pizza with the intention of eating at the little island area (no one was sitting there) was told that I couldn?t sit there,and they would clean off a table for me. Upon cleaning the hostess sat another couple at the table I was going towards,bartender (not friendly) said to sit in the ?lounge? I asked for the food to go. I sat and waited for the pizza and enjoyed mybeer, started a conversation with a couple people also waiting ( that island I mentioned, still no one sitting there) the pizzacame in it?s to go box, a server stopped by so I ordered another beer while enjoying the conversation. While sipping on the beerI opened my pizza and took a bite?.. here?s where the service and attitude comes in? remember that bartender who wasn?t friendly? She walked by and under her breath said ?you?re not suppose to eat up there? this was intended for me. I had half of a beer infront of me and had no place setting. I picked up my items and my pizza and left. On my way out I thanked the friendly bartenderfor her hospitality. Oh and that island that I wanted to just drink my beer and eat the little pizza was STILL empty on my wayout. This place never disappoints. The food, drink, and service are always first rate. The beer menu is fantastic and there are a... variety of pizzas and sandwiches that are outstanding. During our most recent trip here, they made a batch of off-menu glutenfree cheesy bread for our son after learning that he has celiac disease. This was such a nice gesture because he often missesout on food that his siblings get to eat. Classy gesture from an excellent restaurant. Can't recommend it enough. Read more
This brewery is an amazing gem in northern Michigan. Stopped in while passing through Newaygo. The best part about it? All of... their sandwiches are made on naan bread! There was a large selection of beer, cider, and wine. All the drinks we had were good,the food was fantastic. Read more
Very disappointing! Our party arrived shortly after they opened and they refused to seat 11 people together despite their... restaurant being almost empty. The manager was very rude. Not welcoming at all. We would have made the server?s day as we are agenerous and boisterous bunch. We went down the street to Jimmy?s Roadhouse and they were very welcoming and accommodating! For all the great reviews we were disappointed. The Waitress gave off bad vibes? although she was admittedly quite busy. The... Lobster Rolls were in hot dog buns, which I was not impressed with. I would not have ordered them if I?d known that detail. Theydidn?t have a lot of flavor, either. We will give them another try, maybe it was just an off night for us. Read more

I liked that the menu was small. They were pretty on top of proteçting customers and workers from COVID-19. We had the... Mediterranean Pizza w/out olives. I realized we needed the salt from the olives cause I felt it was missing something, then Iadded a tiny bit of salt and then it was really good. UPDATE: One year later, we were back in town. We had another great meal.You have to get the Garlic Garden Pizza and add Balsalmic Reduction drizzled on top. I tried the pork tacos with were awesomebut it be messy. UPDATE 9/10/22: Back in town for our annual retreat and had to come back for a bite to eat. This time I triedthe Lobster Rolls. They were very good. I also tried the Sangria but it wasn't for me.
