The 5 course dinner and wine pairing was nothing short of a magical dining experience. I'm not sure I've ever eaten so slow, I... just wanted the flavor to last forever! The food was phenomenal. The atmosphere was fun and energetic. Very much enjoyed hearingthe chef explain the dish preparation, the region of Italy the dish originated from, and the wine pairings. Quite possibly myfavorite dining experience ever. Read more

Over the top experience! We had the 5 course wine pairing on a Saturday night. Doors open at 7, dinner starts at 7:30. The... service is excellent led by the chef/owner himself. He greets everyone many of whom are regulars. He also introduces each courseand the wine that accompanies them. All the wines were fantastic and the pours were just the right amount. Course 1: the carrotsoup was excellent. Course 2: the savory pie was delicious and the truffle pecorino cheese was amazing. Course 3: the risottomade my mouth feel like it was having an orgasm. Course 4: good but the meat and sauce were too salty for our palates and thepolenta had set up/gelled a bit. Course 5: I felt the cannoli was a little heavy and the nuts tasted strange (but that tastecould have come from the citrus or overroasting or age). Overall, excellent and you really have to look for little misses. Wewould definitely return again and again to this family establishment. Read more

This was the perfect restaurant for our Willamette Valley visit. We went to the 5 course dinner with wine pairings. The food and... wine was awesome. The best part was the chef sharing how he cooked the meal and how he paired the wines. Dinner was an amazingvalue. The patio was perfect even in rain and cold. Read more

Firstly, the food was impeccable, everything was top-notch. This was by far the best gnocchi I've ever had. The cream based... sauces were rich but not overly heavy. The ragus had powerful umami. The Diavola pizza brought a strong sharp punch of quickspice. The deserts were decadent and perfectly capped off the meal. Second, excellent hosting, they offered me bread to wipethe plates clean! I couldn't ask for better service. They checked at regular intetvals and the owner came around to greeteveryone. He had a ton of energy and a great personality. Thirdly, the location was very fitting with a modern/clean-rusticvibe. Lots of well mantained wood for the outdoor seating. Sparkling clean restrooms and floors, the attention to detail reallyput the the location above and beyond. I'm a food first person, but the care put torwards the resteraunt's enviroment really didelevate the experience. Overall I feel confident giving this location 5/5 stars and I hope everyone working at RosmarinoOsteria Italiana, from cooks to cleaners, is aware that their hard work is appreciated! Read more

This is a very busy, very popular place for good reason. The food is AMAZING every time we come here, and the service is... impeccable. We've only been for lunch, since we have yet to snag a dinner reservation, so this review is for theirlunch. Dario, the owner, is always making the rounds with a big, boisterous smile. The waitstaff are incredibly fun, friendly, and helpful. The fresh pastas are absolutely delicious, and the wine list is thoughtful. My favorite is the Pappardelle alCinghiale (wild boar pasta). The risotto is also beautifully prepared, and it is prepared fresh, so it takes about 20 minutes.Just sit back and enjoy a glass of wine and a salad while you wait for the entrees. Located right on the main street, FirstStreet, in downtown Newberg, it's a convenient spot for lunch or dinner while you are out wine tasting. There's usually easystreet parking around the restaurant. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Oregon wine country! Read more

It's fair to say that the pappardelle with wild boar was one of the best Italian dishes I've tasted. The meat was SO tender, and... of course the fresh pasta was delectable. Hubs had the pasta with mushrooms and it was delicious. We shared a salad to start, and it was perfect, with the olive oil and balsamic really standing out. Service here is impeccable. Read more
