The 2 stars are for our server. Bless her, she was very sweet. Like most of the reviews we had sticker shock, but we decided... to stay. My steak frites with truffle fries was not great. Steak is a basic sirloin(3 small pcs) at best and under-seasoned. The fries were so salty I couldn't eat any. Hubby's dish was better than mine, but underwhelming as it's just braised chicken, with 3 chunks of fingerling potato for $30ish. Yes they add 20% to the bill to make sure THEIR servers receive a fair wage. However at the end of the meal the receipt still asks for a tip. I so wish this had turned out differently. I also love thefood/wine scene in Newberg. I just hope the owner of R/W doesn't respond to me like they have to the other reviews. Read more

This place has really rebounded after a little rough patch. The food was fantastic with great fries, deviled eggs and mussels.... Our servers John and Olivia were incredibly genuine which made the experience even that much better. Read more

We tried this place. Servers were nice but inexperienced. Our food took a while, ot was presentable but had no taste. Well, the... stuff that didn't have red pepper flakes on it had no taste. Almost everything had red pepper flakes on it and was spicy. Eventhe fries and my kids couldn't eat them Read more

We love Newberg and we love the food scene here, so it pains me a bit to even write this. The service we got fell short on so... many levels. Firstly, our meals came out with about 25 minutes or so between them. I was served my mussels and the cucumbersalad was served with it. Nearly 30 minutes later our burger and steak were served. Nothing to complain about with the food, just the lack of follow up service at our table. We drank a couple glasses of wine and ordered a bottle of wine as well for thetable, the wine was great and the vibe good. This all came before the food and then we were basically abandoned. The water wasempty for 45 minutes or more, no one ever came to refill. The first of us that were served had to sit there and stare at ourempty plates for more than 60 minutes. Only after the entire table had left, short of myself, who was waiting to square up didwe have someone approach the table and ask if they could clear some items. It had been, no joke, nearly an hour since thosemussels met their final demise. I want this place to succeed, I/we truly do. But get your Shiz together. For the sake of thiscommunity and the good food you are striving to share, please, please, please don't let another table go through what we didthis evening. July 31, 2022. Our friend from Germany was visiting, he seemed confused at the price of the food compared to theservice, I can't blame him. Read more

We always pop by here when we are out in wine country. Great food, great cocktails, great way to end a day of wine tasting. They... always have one great vegetarian main. Read more

This was highly recommended by a local artist in the area and I reserved seating at the Chef's Counter. It was cool to see what... was happening in the kitchen and with the wood-fired grill going & you can feel a bit of the heat. Started with field greenssalad, the 'dirty' (herbs, parmesan, truffle oil) fries (so good!). Then tried the garlic-basil sausage served with peaches andstonefruit. Saffron risotto was served with arugula, cherry tomato & parmesan. Tasty but should have had the smoked steak Ithink. The staff were very friendly and overall the food was good. Very pricey. (A pleasant change of Outdoor dining with no masks - although today was the first day the Communist Governor’s ridiculous... “mandates” expired so that might have contributed) Delightful outdoor dining experience and wonderful menu selection. Allof the foods had a refreshing complexity of flavor combinations due, in part, to the open flame grill and infused with woodsmoke notes. Definitely try the fries and don’t overlook dessert. The apple bread pudding with caramel wasstunning! Complaints: While their drink selection seemed well though, it was a disappointment they used table salt on ourmargarita. A “23% service & wellness fee” is added to every check. Sorry, if you can’t afford to pay your staff or yourfood isn’t good enough to draw a crowd, rethink your business plan. Disguising this as a “service and wellness” fee is arecipe for losing a repeat customer. Read more

Worth the trip. Went for a brunch because the Chicken and Biscuit was recommended. Happy to say I wasn't disappointed. Service... was super friendly. Very nice atmosphere. Clean. Welcoming. The Eggs Benedict was great, the greens on it really helped theflavor profile. The Chicken and Biscuit was great, if not a tad salty. Hazelnut Biscuit made it a great combotogether. Looking at the menu, there were other items I really want to try. The Pastrami Hash and the Deviled Eggs to be sure. We will be back. Read more
