I hate to be this negative, but I have always failed to see why this place has been such a beloved institution beyond its large... party room accommodations. I have been many times over the course of 10 years and have yet to see the appeal. The pizza isgood if you are a fan of cracker crust, but not great. Sadly, that's the only thing I can truly recommend on the menu. Everything else has been just mediocre or sub-par, with the exception of service and cleanliness. The house salad is honestlyone of the most awful salads I've ever been served - a paltry amount of sad iceberg lettuce with what seemed to be half a bag ofpre-shredded cheese and a disproportionate amount of raw onions and underripe tomatoes. Tonight, I started off by ordering abloody mary, and was told they were out of mix and couldn't make one (despite also boasting a full bar area and having the drinkon their cocktail menu). Next, I ordered bone-in wings, which I was also informed they were out of. After settling on bonelesswings instead (which, I will admit, were good for boneless wings, but I prefer bone-in), another member of our party ordered therack of ribs, which were extremely dry and rubbery to the point of being almost inedible, and sent them back, only to be toldthey were the last rack (very obviously) and he would have to order something else. He did get his meal comped for theinconvenience. Two other members of our party received a Caesar salad and Caesar wrap that were just "ok" - the salad was onthe verge of having too much dressing and was soggy upon serving, and the wrap had almost no dressing. The only member of ourparty who had a great experience was the one who ordered the mashed potato pizza. Our server was great and did a good job withtaking care of us despite the issues we experienced, but I do not personally think I will be back. We called on Archie and Clyde?s to cater a pasta meal for the USI Women?s soccer team and they knocked it out of the park. We... had a scheduled pick up time but our game was delayed but a quick call and changes were made. The meal was hot and fresh andthe service was AMAZING!!! Standard pizza and bar food, but done well. Pizza is thin, crispy cracker crust. Toppings are fresh and generous. Nice salads... and breadsticks as well. They offer party rooms for larger groups, a small game room for the kids, and a large bar area withdining tables as well. They also offer an outside patio area as well. Read more
First time eating here, And we really liked the atmosphere and how the place looked with all the old photos hanging in the wall.... The service was good. The food was ok, not bad. Not too expensive either. We would probably try it again and order somethingdifferent next time. Read more
Food is good. Party room was booked for over a month. 50 people in group with only 1 server. Took 1 1/2 hours to get some of... parties food order. Needless to say, we had to refill our own drinks, beg for silverware. I'm surprised we didn't have to cookour own food. Read more
