Went late on a Sunday have seen this place since ive lived in Newburgh which is about 3 years always wanted to try.. Well i was... Very dissapointed.. Had the Sunday Roast beef and it was pretty much deli meat from schnucks. My wife pretty much compared hermeal to a TV dinner.. Service was great food was awful! Completely content with passing by this place and never venturing intoit to eat again. Read more

Loved the catfish and our server was excellent! It's a small, popular place tho so best to call ahead.

My husband and I have been to Knob Hill Tavern twice and each time has been a delightful experience. Tonight was our 4 year... anniversary, and our one year wedding anniversary, overall experience here made it a special date for us. Beer is phenomenal, food is fresh, delicious, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Read more

Cozy, charming, a little loud, but fun tavern. The food was excellent as was the service. If you eat outside, the dining area is... delicateful, but can be annoying when the flys are in season. The Reuben sandwich and fried mushrooms are excellent. Read more

My husband and I felt a bit uncomfortable with the level of attention given to us by patrons and staff. Not sure what that was... all about.. perhaps not being locals had something to do with it..The overall ambience of this local spot is rather nice. Thefood was a different story. The steak was tough, very chewy, bland and hey, I still have all my darn teeth! We also ordered beerthat tasted rather unpleasant. Overall the big winners were our dogs! They got leftovers. ???? Cool place to visit. Clean and friendly. Not a ton of seating so I would recommend calling ahead. Everyone's meals were pretty... good, and fairly priced. The "hot fiddler" they specialize in was ok. It's a whole fried catfish (or two). The PO boy was goodas was the fried chicken. For appetizers we got catfish curls and kraut balls. The kraut balls are sour kraut and cheese filleddeep fried balls. I enjoyed those the most. Read more

Great service. Friendly place. Its was busy when I was there...6pm. I sat at the bar. Had a drink quickly. They had milk to... make my White Russian.... Big plus! Met few people. Fried mushrooms were hot and fresh. Be careful in parking lot. If busy itstight. I would recommend Knob Hill Tavern. Plan to go again when I can. They are open on Mondays, unlike Crickets, Fat BoyPizza....and have full menu unlike Jennings Street. Read more
