The Pizza King in Newburgh, IN makes DIVINE Strombolis! For about $10, you get a huge dinner or 2 very filling lunches. I know... there are other stores in the chain over in south eastern Indiana, but their bun doesn't have that perfectly baked crunch. Wehave gone here for since the early 70's. I?ve always loved this place and their food. My husband and I got wrapped up in house stuff this evening and didn?t want to cook... so we called to see if we could get delivery. We ordered and were told 45-1 hour- totally acceptable. After 1 1/2 hours wecalled and were told the girl left 5 mins ago and would be on her way to us. Another 30 mins went by and we called again andthe girl who answered screamed at my husband as soon as she answered- very unprofessional(I was on speaker phone) and called himnames. Received this via delivery. Longtime Pizza King fan likely to never order again. If you drop someone?s pizza while delivering,... do the right thing and remake it. I?d have been happy waiting for a new one, because obviously this isn?t worth over $20. Read more
One of my favorite restaurants in the tri-state area! I highly recommend the regular stromboli (hot)! Good pizza and sides as... well. Great for a quick, unassuming, delicious lunch with the family. We like to get it for family get-togethers at home. Read more
Local pizzeria with unique, highly addictive pizza and excellent "strombolis"! EAT HERE. GO NOW. Eating at Pizza King is a... highlight of every trip back home to Evansville. The diced pepperoni and thin, slightly charred crust I've never foundelsewhere. I've eaten embarrassing amounts of this pizza in a single sitting. Their strombolis (for those not from the area,we've misappropriated the term - Evansville stroms are not a true stromboli, but rather a delicious sub-like sandwich withsausage, onions, tomato sauce, and mozzarella) are fantastic. There is another great location on St. Joseph and Franklin (westside of Evansville) where I ate growing up, but I usually stay nearer to the Newburgh shop when I visit. The staff in Newburghare great and they recognize me even though I only make it in once or twice a year. :) Read more
This Pizza King, Newburgh Indiana, a refreshing Indiana based pizza place with a great and long heritage. Excellent and... delicious PK pizza and sandwich entrees. Widely diverse menu options. Specialty: crumbled pepperoni ???? pizza. Very kind andaccommodating staff ever at the ready to prepare your PK menu decisions. Spacious and über clean indoor dining area.
