This place shares a building with Hudson Taco. To eat pizza you cannot sit in the outside space. Inside we were greeted politely... and told to wait a moment for a clean table. We were seated in minutes and approached immediately with menus and a drink order.We had rice balls which were good and a classic pizza with an excellent crust. My fountain Pepsi was four sips of Pepsi in a 16ounce cup of ice. Service was prompt and polite. The downside is what I would call lack of "ambiance". The seating area forpizza shares the space with the very busy, cluttered and extremely noisy busing area and wait staff station for the outside tacoarea. Add to that the non stop "to and fro" from the taco kitchen to the outside seating. It is like eating along side a busyhighway with someone banging dishes for new years eve. I would not recommend this restaurant during the summer months. The Pizza Shop has good food but the environment isn't pleasant... since the taco restaurant next door has completely monopolized what used to be the Pizza Shops outdoor eating area. Now thePizza Shops small indoor seating area serves as a pass through for the disruptive hive of taco restaurant wait staff. It seemsunreasonable and elitist that management couldn't find a way to share the outdoor space so that ALL could enjoy the Hudson Riverviews and the lovely summer weather together. Read more
The food is great!!! The customer service on the other hand is TERRIBLE. Older woman with dark hair who thinks she?s the owner... or manager has the rudest and most disrespectful customer service I have ever experienced. Not only does she manage the registerbut the food as well. I ordered out and when I got there the food was not ready. Observing with my own eyes she removes thegarlic knots from the warmer and uses her nasty disgusting fingers to guide it into the container. I confronted her about itnicely and this monster made the biggest scene. Called me a liar was repeatedly loud. Threw the knots towards the garbage(missed). Created a whole scene-(the Oscar goes to). I will never eat at that spot again. My family and I really enjoy travelingand eating there but not after that vulgar behavior (I?m being nice) I was truly embarrassed. She needs to be fired!!!! Bee sting pizza was awesome! The crust was incredible, crisp and tasty, and the flavors spot on. Gorgonzola walnut salad had... lovely fresh lettuce with delightful toppings. Highly recommend. Favorite meal of our trip (and we had some good ones!) Read more
Great spot for a consistently tasty nosh after an exam... or a long day... or after good news... or whenever! Friendly wait... staff greet you at the door and are patient with even the most indecisive patrons. Order a Fishers lemonade and the short ribfries and tell em Daisy sent ya! Read more
I eat at the Pizza Shop all the time, so this is the first time that I was upset. My daughter and I ordered almost the same... thing cheesesteaks. It originally comes with mushrooms caramelized onions and bell peppers. I only wanted meat onions andcheese. I received a onion sandwich, once I picked onion out and had a barely any meat. I called to complain and the manager wasrude in my opinion. He said that I Customize the sandwich which I didn't I just didn't want mushrooms or bell peppers so I feellike they added more onions. He said I would have to pay for a whole new sandwich. We went back and forth which we should havenot at the end of the call he said we will send you another one and hung up on me. Read more
I love pizza shop and my coworker and I order from them often even though they never deliver on time. We recently ordered lunch... for my birthday and had a dramatic encounter with their manager/delivery driver who required 81 cents for an extra dressing whenhe called to tell us they were out of our usual dressing, but was unable to charge it to the same card used to order . No bigdeal, but there was a miscommunication about the exchange of the 81 cents upon delivery due to the fact that they surprisinglyarrived on time which resulted in a voicemail of 82 seconds from the manager/delivery driver that was very dramatic and a littleconcerning. We wish him the best. We still love pizza shop and hope he?s doing well and living his best life. Read more
