Decent place. Certainly good for Newbury standards. But when a restaurant has a sign saying “a really really good Italian... restaurant” out front, it’s probably not that good. You shouldn’t need a sign to convince people. It’s about the samequality as Olive Garden. It’s good for lunch, and it’s the only “Italian” restaurant around which serves Mangia Mangiawell. I got the chicken parmesean sandwich. It was a tiny little thing, ate it in about 5 bites. The wedding soup was good.Overall, an average spot. Read more

We were on our way home from Holden Arboretum and just happened to drive past Mangia Mangia (we live 1.5 hours away) We decided... to stop for dinner, because the parking lot was full, and a full parking lot means good food. Right? I ordered the linguinewith clam sauce, husband ordered chicken Marsala, kids ordered off the kid menu- spaghetti and meatball, and Mac andcheese. Let’s talk about the clam sauce! It was delicious! It’s a white clam sauce and tasted homemade and made fromscratch. My husband loved his chicken Marsala! Service was amazing and food came pretty quickly.
