I was looking for a meeting happy hour spot AND sushi spot in general that's fairly close to home. I actually randomly found... this place by driving by. I know weird right? Didn't even look it up before I went. But sometimes you've just got to do it. Andif you get lucky you find an awesome new spot. Well that was the case for this place. Now that I've been here a few times. Ithink it's time for a review. Upon walking up to the door I was greeted immediately. Chose to sit outside in their tent area.Although they offer indoor seating I didn't opt for that on this visit. They have QRcode menus. Very easy to understand. Plentyof pictures of the food if you need to see them. Descriptions of the food are clear. I went with many things on the menu. Thehappy hour menu is very big for a happy hour menu. The prices are right and the food is delicious. I especially liked the garlicchili edamame. Would I recommend this place? Yes! The staff is all very nice. The menu is very easy to understand. This review is for takeout only (covid). Got to thousand oaks around 8, looking for a quick bite for a late dinner. They start... happy hour pricing at 8:30, so waited a bit before placing our order on the phone. Customer service was very helpful withhelping us find the menu online. I like sushi and rolls in general. I have been to this place a few times and I had a mixed experience there. People are in... general nice and welcoming. Place has a good ambiance. In general, decent food and sake. But the service can be a hit or miss.At times service is very good and the other times it was poor. They didn?t bring us plates for 10 mins after our rolls arrived.All the details regarding ingredients was not disclosed and their jalapeño popper contained shrimp to which my friend wasallergic to. I?m glad he didn?t it right away and I informed him before he ate. At last, when the check arrived, there wereitems added to our bills which we didn?t even order.
