Recently we had a reservation for 7:30 on a weekend night. We were told it would be a few minutes for our table. No big deal,... weekend nights get busy and we were willing to be patient. 8 pm came and people were still lining up. Eventually a group who puttheir name in and waited was seated. By 8:10 we grew frustrated and debated leaving. A couple that had a reservation for 8:30showed and checked in. Despite the hostess and outdoor server knowing we had been waiting for a "reservation," the couple thatwas 20 minutes early was offered two seats at the bar (which we would have been perfectly happy with), and seated early.Frustrated, we walked off only to have an outstanding meal somewhere else. I'm sure the food is decent here, just don't expectyour reservation to be honored. Put your name down, grab a drink somewhere else, then return when the table is ready. Read more
We went on our anniversary last night. I?ve never posted a review, but I have to give them props. We had to cancel our dinner... the night before and they quickly accommodated us for the next day. Gave us a special table with no wait despite us being alittle late. The drinks were unique and food was great. The server was quick and on point. I?d put this food against anything inthe north end. Finally tried Carmine?s. It was fantastic. Meatballs were the best I?ve ever had in a restaurant (I?m a 60 year old Italian, I... like to think that I know a good meatball). Eggplant parmigiana app was great as were the two pasta plates we ordered. Read more
Delicious hearty high quality Italian fair. An owner who is hands on and very attentive. He came to visit when the food arrived... to make sure everything was to our liking. A great experience. Pictured are the Angus Shortrib Bolognese, the prime sirloin, thecrazy Alfredo and the tenderloin. Everyone loved everything. I try to come here at least once a week. It works great for me because I love authentic Italian food but like many, I?m lacking... in the time it takes to do it right at home. Every time I come, the food is always great. They use fresh ingredients and theowner takes a tremendous amount of pride in everything that gets sent out of the kitchen. It?s truly a labor of love for him Iusually sit at the bar so I can get a glimpse of the back end portion of things. They are an extremely clean kitchen staff thatseem to adhere to safe food handling practices. If you haven?t tried this place yet, I recommend that you do. Read more
Great spot for a delicious Italian dinner date! It felt like a real treat, between the atmosphere, the great service, the... generous wine pours, and of course the food. The octopus puttanesca beat all expectations, not only was the octopus itselfgreat, but the sauce and gnocchi were A+. The appetizers are on the larger side so the side of us were happy with one. As forentrees, the cacio e pepe pasta was my favorite, but the tuna from the tuna pasta dish was also really tasty.
