I recently hired Metzy's to cater an employee appreciation lunch for 90 people. I choose the Taco Bar and the food was fresh... and delicious! Fantastic! My in-laws live close by, and offered to watch our baby while we went out to celebrate our anniversary. Unfortunately... restaurants either weren’t open or weren’t taking reservations. My husband had wanted to try Metzy’s so we went ahead andit was better than any ‘fancy’ anniversary lunch. We got chips and salsa, the chips are homemade and the salsa is perfectlysmooth, and the right blend of sweet and smoky. Our tacos blew us away, and the enchiladas were great as well. Metzys is a cool little mexican fusion spot hidden in the train station. I got their chicken burrito. Its a classic american... burrito. Nothing outstanding, but nothing to complain about either. Flavor was good, portions were large, service was good, andthe vibe was fun. Read more
The food was PERFECT! Consistency, flavor, presentation A+! The waitress is a winner, she politely advised us that the food was... getting a little extra time today because the house was full, we appreciated the heads up and decided to stay: NO REGRETS! Thebest chimichanga ever! Margarita was perfect, street corn a little cold what did not diminish the great flavor in nothing. Theenvironment, the staff and the drinks made the time pass by fast. I love walking the rail trail and ending at Metzy's. Depending on where we start, that determines how much I eat ;) I love the ... chicken chimichangas and tacos here. I have not tried a margarita yet. Usually just chips guac and salsa and an entree. I digthe vibe and the service is great. Prices are actually pretty good compared to most downtown. Parking is amazing since it isbasically in the train depot. Read more
Go to the food truck and not the restaurant. The quality in difference is glaring. The two Cuban tacos I ordered were in a... puddle of water and the flour tortilla turned to mush. The Korean bbq had old fried chicken with a white hue to it and both werecold. Go spend your money elsewhere cause this happens every time wish they just had the food truck around. Read more
