Service was much to be desired. We were seated right away and had drinks and bread brought to us by our waitress Megan. We... ordered appetizers and our meal before a large party arrived of 14 and another party of 4 arrived. She was friendly to start butthen appeared to totally forget about us even though these 2 other parties sat next to us. Our glasses were empty for anextremely long time and had to request refills from another waiter to get service. The other 2 parties were served theirappetizers and meals way before we were served. The muscles were delicious and the calamari was cold. The sword fish, steak,grilled scallops and shrimp were all hot and delicious. All in all the food was great; service was horrible. Read more
Michaels Harborside is a pillar of newburyport dining, yet i was massively underwhelmed by my recent meal here. I got the... watermelon mule to drink and it was spectacular, but the food itself fell short. The swordfish was way overcooked and for 32$, askimpy portion. the rice was greasy, and the broccoli had lost any crispness it once had. We arrived on a very busy Saturday night with a line out the door. With hungry kids we were immediately thinking we would have... to go elsewhere. Pleasant dining experience with friendly staff and views of the harbor. The clam chowder was very good? the wedge salad however... I thought was overpriced for lettuce and blue cheese dressing and ?micro? amount of bacon and no tomato. My guest had the onionsoup while we shared the salad. With tip I thought $40 was a bit much for a sparse lunch with only water and no other beveragesto drink. Read more
Beautiful scenery and high quality food. Friendly service. We had a toddler with us and there is a kids menu and they also gave... us crayons. Delicious steak tips with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Our group also ordered a seafood paella, veggie burger, anda kids fish and chips. Very happy with everything, great dining experience by the water! Read more
Stopped in this past weekend. Gorgeous weather to eat some great seafood on the water! The calamari was cooked perfectly and we... loved the sweet but hot peppers. Our friends loved the mussels. And there was so much seafood in the seafood pasta tossdish...very impressive! Read more
