Not sure what other diners expectations are? Bartender was nice but didn’t know how to make a signature cocktail. Our Tuna... tartare was not fresh and we were concerned about eating it. My medium rare steak was medium well at best. I expect better whenpaying premium prices. No reason to go back. Read more

EXCELLENT food and dining experience! My wife and I were in town for the day for the music festival and spotted this place when... driving around town. We had the shrimp fried rice and mac n’ cheese with bacon and grilled chicken - outstanding! Waitress wasfriendly and helpful. Manager/possibly the owner, came over to our table after our meal, introduced herself and asked how ourmeals were and chatted a bit. Would definitely go back here again! Read more
Older home feel in Newburyport. Started with the calamari and bacon wrapped scallops followed by the steak tips and fingerling... potatoes. Very tasty. Food was cooked just as requested. Really tasty food. Ordered mac and cheese with grilled shrimp, shrimp was a little to charred for my liking and a bit salty,... but the mac and cheese was absolutely amazing. The noodle perfectly holds melted cheese, it’s pretty great. My mother hadone of their specials, “airline chicken”, I had leftovers of it later. It was salty and the chicken a bit tough,unfortunately the brussels sprouts were really charred and got bitter because of this. Amazing atmosphere in the restaurant,waiter was a delight as well. She seemed to be managing a lot of tables, good on her for working hard, hope she isn’toverwhelmed though. Overall, excellent dinner! Read more
We have always wanted to try this restaurant and on a whim we decided to make a reservation on a Saturday night. When we got... there we saw a long line at the door and we noticed there was also a wedding upstairs. I was fearing the venue would be veryloud. We were 15 minutes early for our table but told they were informed that the tables were backed up. A high top opened upand we were offered that which was precisely at the time our reservation was at so we took it as we could see that people werelingering and it might be some time before we got a table. The server Daniel was THE BEST. He did confirm the wedding upstairsand that they were really busy because of it but he was very attentive. The starters came promptly and they were delicious. Ihad the Butternut Bisque which had a lot of flavor and a little bite at the end. The service was slow for the main meal but hewas so attentive always checking in and apologizing. The entrees were absolutely delicious. I got a vegetarian dish of friedrice with egg and veggies and they were able to add the sesame crusted tofu from another selection as a protein. The atmospherewas loud but it had a homey tavern type of vibe, it actually was much different than what I expected inside but greatnonetheless. Read more
