Out of all the diners, cafe, and any breakfast place we have been too, never have we ever had a cook actually cook the peppers... and onions in our dish. Other places just throw the veggies in. We had breakfast at the Riverside today, Father's Day. 4 of us plus our 10 month old granddaughter. Not only were they very... accommodating but the food was great. The breakfast bowls are outstanding. As were french toast and egg platters. Willdefinately go there again. Unfortunately we did not catch our waitress's name but she was outstanding. getting and refillingcoffee, taking our order and being great about the mess our grandaughter left on the floor. We were quickly greeted by a friendly, welcoming James, who seated us immediately. Our server, Lee, was absolutely... wonderful--charming, efficient, and oh-so sweet. Food - 5 Atmosphere - 5 Wait staff/Service - 2 The restaurant decor and atmosphere was so nice. The food was so flavorful and... did not disappoint! Coming from southern Louisiana, it is hard to find well flavored food like Biscuits and gravy. This wouldhave been 5 stars total but our server was not the most professional. As someone who has spent 15+ years in customer service, Ican empathize with someone not have a good day and the person not being perfectly bubbly but A ( our server) was overwhelmed anddid not hide it. A also said the business was unorganized and was upset with the kitchen staff. A did not hold back on herfrustration with the business and fellow coworkers. We were not upset and relaxed with waiting and enjoying the company at thetable - the vibe that she brought to the table was not pleasant and we had to remind A for several things like water, coffee,toast that we previous requested. We love to come here for a quiet breakfast near the river. When the weather's nice we'll bring the dog and sit outside. Staff... are all wonderful, good is great, prices are phenomenal, highly recommend the breakfast bowls! Read more
