Keep your expectations appropriate, not your high end place. Not a dive, but a cool niche dive feel. Locals hangout. Bartenders... are really great. They've made strides to upgrade and be better in the past few years. Wine could be better. Beer is your usuallow end choice. It is what it is. This place is an institution and a serviceable casual bar where you can get a pint and some pub fare. The recent renovations... definitely makes the place feel less divey (which everyone has mixed feelings about), but there's no denying there's now morespace and everything is a bit more put together.
